Adding PRE_GM_DEBUGGING_FEATURES_ENABLED__REMOVE_AT_GMC makes it possible.

Well I just downgraded my Kindle Touch 3 from 5.8.10 to 5.8.0. Factory image jailbreak doesn't seem to work. I ran the command and the kindle rebooted, but the jailbroken document did not appear. What should I do?

The OP only goes so far as to say that jailbreak is preserved through 5.8.10. I just want to be sure before proceeding. I wasn't able to find confirmation elsewhere. Thanks.

What part of:

If jailbroken on an earlier firmware version, the jailbreak is known to survive the update to either 5.8.8, 5.8.9, 5.8.9.2. or 5.8.10
It should survive an update to any firmware version. It is designed to be viral.

If you are unsure that (should) include 5.8.11, just subscribe to this thread (use the "thread tools" drop down box in the blue bar) and watch your e-mail for people to report back on success or failure of the bridge code working.

Never rush into something you are unsure about.
We don't give out bragging rights for the first people to test things on a newly released firmware version.

The app added the ad automatically without my knowledge. I have found the setting to disable it.

I am not sure why the nasty remark about bragging rights, etc. No, I don't want to be first which is why I was asking before doing anything. You refer to some 5 8.11 code working and I am not sure what you are referring to as I could not find it. I thought that perhaps you were acknowledging that the jailbreak would survive the update hence the request for clarification. If I have misread you then I apologise.

I have manually upgraded to 5.8.11 on my Voyage and JB is fine. I do like the new sliders (ramps) for size and boldness.
