Attached is a version that uses those links correctly and allows either http or https for literotica.com. However, it doesn't change the identifier URLs for stories you already have to https if they were first made with http. Last edited by JimmXinu; 05-17-2014 at 07:00 PM. When attempting to download the story at URL http://www.literotica.com/s/cybersex-woman-centric : Status | Title | Author | Comment | URL Bad | Unknown | Unknown | Story does not exist: (http://www.literotica.com/s/cybersex-woman-centr01) | http://www.literotica.com/s/cybersex-woman-centr01 Seems the URL is being mangled somehow. Again, I appreciate you looking into this. |

Download not writing to calibre library
Hi there ...
Whenever I try and generate a mobi file using FFDL, the job finishes successfully but it never writes to the calibre library. I'm running calibre v1.37 and FFDL v1.8.20. When I look at the calibre jobs list, it shows that my book downloaded, but when I look at the details, I see the last 2 lines of the log file show this: FFDL:INFO:calibre_plugins.fanfictiondownloader_plu gin.jobs(100): Successful: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10226411/1/ FFDL:INFO:calibre_plugins.fanfictiondownloader_plu gin.jobs(102): Unsuccessful: Any helpful hints on how to get the book to add to the calibre library? THANKS! Phyllis P.S. I should add that I'm running this on a Mac. I never had this problem on my PC. Figures! Last edited by cdrivanova; 05-18-2014 at 05:00 PM. Reason: added info |

In truth, the mobi output from FFDL really isn't all that good. It's kept primarily for the command line (CLI) and web service users. For plugin users what I recommend (and use myself for my Kindle) is to download to epubs and use the 'Automatically Convert new/updated books' feature to convert to awz3 (or mobi, if you really want). That way you can also benefit from the epub update feature to only download new chapters. |

OK, I just tried conversion to epub and still had the same result, i.e., it doesn't write to the library. I think I'll ping the calibre author and see if he has any helpful hints because, as you say, the download works correctly. THANKS! |

Try the standard of running calibre in debug mode (Preferences | Restart in debug mode) and see if any extra info is available.

Hi Jimm,
is there a way to choose which series is put into the series column, if the story belongs to more than one series? I downloaded this: http://archiveofourown.org/works/1658012, but the wrong series got put into the series column. |

Addendum:
And from that the wrong series was put on the generated cover. ![]() |

@Firedancer885:
AO3 allows more than one series. The only indicator I'm aware of that would indicate which is the 'correct' series, is the order that they appear; FFDL assumes that the first series listed is the 'correct' one. In this case, you disagree. But how could FFDL possibly know which one you consider 'correct' for any given story? I think you need to take it up with the author and ask if they can list the two series the other way around. This story by the same author shows that the order is not forced by ID number or date created by AO3. |

How do I separate the tags for characters, I chose a custom column "Text, shown in tag browser" but it doesn't separate the names.
