you've obviously never had Jack in the Box tacos. I've had them twice. the first time I was completely disgusted and very nauseous. the secomd time was at a different location simply to make sure the first wasn't an anomaly

For making "Jack-in-the-Box" style tacos! They are quite literally dripping grease when you eat them... if you can eat them. (One needs a Herculean gall bladder to deal with this! And no taste buds.)

They are (or were, the last time I ate them,) a greasy tortilla filled with a mixture of mystery meat and lard, with a few shards of something that might be lettuce, then the entire thing is lowered into a cauldron of hot fat (but not too hot otherwise the taco would cook instead of just getting coated) then removed and probably not drained before being wrapped in wax paper. It's a Heart Surgeon's dream come true.

Delicious.

Ah. We don't have Jack in the Box here. We do, however, have Taco Bell, and those tacos have a bit of drip factor too.

Compared to "Jack-in-the-Box," Taco Bell tacos have zero grease and real meat.

Jack tacos would make an oil rig roust-about (after a gusher) feel clean.

When spending a couple of weeks on Guam and Saipan for some diving, I used the local Taco Bell instead of Metamucil. Worked like a charm and tastes better!

I just googled a picture of a Jack in the Box taco. Please tell me they don't really have a SLICE of American cheese stuck in there!

I seem to remember a Jack In The Box in Covington, GA back in the 70s. I don't think it lasted very long.

I do remember in the 90s there were some people who died from E. coli after eating at a Jack in the Box.

yep! you're right! the only reason I had the initial taco was because a friend raved about them and drug me in there. like I said I tried once more to see if it was anomaly, if something could truly be that vile. I would rather starve than go to the box

Golly! They must have hired a nutritionist since I was there last. I remember it as a slice of lard...

But thanks for that link. Looking at the nutrition data I see that with the exception of the side salad and the drink menu, everything else gets half to two thirds of its calories from fat, and the combined sodium/potassium levels rival those found in a lake in Utah.
