Now you're just splitting hares , Cthulu.

Besides, the kids in Kansas probably already know all about bunny-rabbits.

Ha. Ha.

Well, the kids in Kansas may know about bunny-rabbits, but if they know naught of the flying spaghetti monster, I'll wager they don't get taught about birds & bees.

All right, I'm done with animal puns....
For now.

COMPUSA.COM update

Well, I got a call late evening Spanish time to say CompUSa could not deliver to hotels

I asked them where the nearest shop with units was (I gave them my ZIP / Post Code) and they told me there was one just down the road from where I am staying and that they had 3 in stock (Dadeland store).

They gave me the number and I called and reserved two using my Amex details.

The person I spoke too said they would ship internationally if required.

If you call CompUSA up you can ask where the units are based on your ZIP code.

So I am about to jump on my plane and fly over to Miami to pick them up and do some work whilst I am there

The downtown Seattle Borders has 5 units left after I picked up one as a Christmas present today.

They also have a big fat stack of Borders $25 ebook gift cards! I picked up two of those as well (the deck is still 2" thick.)

They also have two cradles and about 10 covers of various colors.

Yes I guess both with CompUSA and Borders the best thing to do is call the most local stores!

I have now picked my two up and I am very impressed (except for the slow page changes)

Holy smoking discounts!

Borders sent me an email letting me know that my Sony Reader purchase has earned me a personal shopping day with 10% off on everything I purchase that day, including multiple visits.

There were 3 Readers left at the Boarders in Fairfax, Virginia (4 before my visit last Friday.) The stack of $25 cards was still sealed and they all looked at me funny as this was the first time anyone had come into the store and bought one. Their knowledge of the product was very low. (However, I was able to use the 10% discount coupon for the Reader.)

Yes, most of us are still scratching our heads as to why you would need to buy the cards. The only reason why I will is to funnel money through the store.

I wonder if the Boarders discount would apply to the cards? Those of us in the USA could make a small sideline of buying the cards and then selling them via PayPal or something else to the other members that are outside of the USA and only have credit cards with non-USA addresses.
