I’ve just received my Nova and here are my initial impressions so far (I’ve had two Kobo readers and this is my first Android reader):

Boot time: I timed it at 35s from pressing the power button to the home screen. Battery Life: similar to my KA1, considering I’ve been playing with the features (wifi, apps, front lights, etc. ) I expect it to last longer when I focus more on just reading. I also turned-off the battery percentage display on the status bar because I find checking the number as it decrements too distracting. ![]() NeoReader: I wish it supported Kepubs (most of my books are in that format now). I will surely side load my fav fonts to it. I only found one Eng-Eng dictionary (Longman) and I might look for another one. TTS was a cool feature though at first no sound came out of my BT headphones and I had to tap the volume once for audio to come out. Google Play: everything was smooth with setup and installing apps. Kindle app performance was terribly slow. KOReader was so far good. I couldn’t find a way to open kepubs in Kobo app. Calibre Sync: Nova got detected by Calibre and transferring 400+ books was lightning fast. Overall I’m happy with it but there’s still some tweaking to do here and there. |

 1. Have you tried reflowing PDF files? 2. Do PDF apps like Foxit Reader work on it? |

Finally got mine! Enjoying it quite a bit after getting past some quirks.

Quick question, is there a way to default to the Apps list when hitting home instead of the book library? |

			Dear all,

I have two questions. 1) Where do I find the manual for Neo Reader v3.0? I can only find the manual for Neo Reader 2.x and that is significantly different. 2) I wonder if I can annotate in non-ocr or image pdf files, whether it is scribble or whatever. The instructions in the manual of Neo Reader 2.x do not match Neo Reader 3.0. I can't long click text so the annotate menu does not show up and I can't bring it up from elsewhere. Thank you. Best |
