Currently, the Aura One is the nicest looking Reader out there.

Given the flush screen it pretty much has to be capacitve.
I've had a couple of different Kobos (the Mini and the Glo) with IR and one capacitive one (the Aura) and I really never noticed any difference. I wasn't looking for a difference but if there'd been much difference I think I'd have noticed. Barry |

If the Voyage can do a good job with capacitive touch, I see no reason why the Aura One cannot do a good job.

There is much difference between the two. IR is soon sensitive anything will turn the page. Capacitive you have to use your fingers or special stylus. I prefer capacitive.

Every device I own is capacitive but the Glo HD. Only on the Glo HD do I have pages turning any time I set the device down or my headphone wire brushes the screen or my cats hair hit the screen. I'm always losing my place. So I do prefer capacitive where only my fingers will turn the pages.

My Kobo Aura HD continues to work like a champion and has shown no signs whatsoever of quitting, in spite of me reading in the 100 book yearly range. It has provided a great reading experience!
I may not technically *need* it, but I WANT A KOBO AURA ONE! I will, however, wait for some real consumer reviews/experiences first. But it looks like a reader I'd really love! Hope the official cover is nice! Gosh, I'm feeling like a kid on Christmas about this reader! Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk |

![]() I'm kind of like that with the flush screens. I can't really think of any meaningful reason to prefer a flush screen over a recessed one. I have both and I use both and both work just fine. But I prefer the flush screen. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me but it doesn't really have to. I prefer it. I don't really want a reader with a larger screen but this thing looks so nice I might be tempted. If the 6" one had a flush screen I'd get it for sure. Barry Barry |

Different rendering engine. Also, the ACCESS rendering engine is configured to pop up the footnote which is easier to return from than RMSDK switching to the page the footnote is on.

I wonder when this will be available in the UK? And what the price will be.
