Julie Miller is an auto buy I bought her self publish titles too even though they aren't related. Let's see Julie Miller, Debra Webb, Joanna Wayne are all auto buys for me. Oh and Rita Herron. I can't forget her. Merline Lovelace is another one.

Good to know about Debra Webb since I bought all 47 of her Colby books. I'll check out the others.

I forgot to mention Beverly Barton. Her Protectors series is well known. You might want to check that out too.

I would try calling your Card company again. You could always go to the store and pick up a prepaid Visa gift card if you get desperate. I have used them before at HQ with no issues.
I just got off the phone with them. Apparently I made a typo and it put a block on the account. She confirmed I cannot make any purchases with any credit card until this is removed. She isn't sure why I received the response I did. She is sending the request to tech support so I may be back in business this weekend.

If anyone puchased the multi-author A Year of Loving Dangerously 12 book series under the SIM line, I got an email today that book #9 in the series (The Enemy's Daughter by Linda Turner) is now available. It was the only one of the 12 not showing on their site.

What Kind of typo? I've done several when I was typing on the order form and just got invalid card error but my account never locked.

What I find interesting while Modern Westerns are hot you might be able to find a historical western here and there. In the 90s they were more popular but now only handful come out each year. historical westerns are my favorite. So I buy all those back title books being self published right away.

The love scenes seem to be the primary focus of the HQ books now Unfortunately. Most Blaze titles are near Erotica which is why I prefer Temptation titles instead. If you want more plot Intrigue line is really good on those. The Romantic suspense as well. The Nascar Titles have no sex in them at all. Not allowed or drinking or crashing their car. Of course Loved Inspired are very clean and chaste seeing they are inspirational. I buy them too because they focus on the plot than the physical reactions of the hero and heroine. As long as they aren't too preachy. Those go in the DNF pile.

I mostly read Silhouette Intimate Moments they seem to have just the right mix.
Thanks that will give me an idea of which series to look for. I did wonder what was the differences were between the lines/series.

The Presents and Romance line usually take place all over the world. American and Super Romance usually take place in North America. Desire is almost now all about Rich families specially those billionaire cowboys CEOs The ones from the 90s actually had more themes are worth taking a look at seeing they are only a nickle I bought plenty. Special Edition are imported from the Silhouette line and so they are usually pretty good. Susan Mallery use to write for that line. Another great author.

Nocturne is paranormal romances.
Medical is self explanatory.

If you have any more questions. Feel free to ask. I've been into HQs since I was 14. My first HQ was the Hawk of Venice by Sally Wentworth. Didn't understand anything I was reading at that time.

Not a huge Harlequin fan but I've been working a ton of hours without much time to read lately...so I've been reading some freebies picked up over the years and admit that sometimes they provide the quick read that I need to break from real life. But they are VERY hit or miss (and few stand out), so in addition to reading the suggestions here, I looked around the web and found this link:

http://www.rtbookreviews.com/rt-awar...es-and-winners

You can pick a year and if you scroll down to the Series, it has their winners for the best Harlequin books by series.

Needed a break from clicking. Read "Stranded With Her Ex" by Jill Sorenson. I loved it. Can someone else recommend a book I can buy while the coupon deal is still on.I have never read Beverly Barton or Sharon Sala or Carla Neggers.

What I do is go to the category like the one you read is from the Romantic Suspense. Sort by Price and you will find lots of them for only a nickle. If you like Jill's books she has a couple more.
I usually find a plot I like then go to Amazon find the Kindle version and read the excerpt by clicking on the cover of the book. If the first paragraphs grab me. I buy it if not I move on.

I really like Sharon Sala Justice Way's series. It's what got me hooked! My favorite by her is When You Call My Name. Wow! That one is really good! The first in the series isn't in ebook yet but well worth finding a used copy to read first.
