I'd guess the latter. Also, this is probably not the only forum he's responsible for. If more than a couple have the kind of people we have here, with a disconcerting tendency to look at the details instead of the hype, this may be taking him some time.

Of course at that time, Stonetools was still referring to the KindleReviewer as "he" instead of "I". But the ruse failed miserably. He tried to get the discussion to happen over there, but he had to settle with splitting his time between there and here.

I've just gotten to this point myself. I don't like Steam DRM...it's like the least of the online activation evils, but I still refuse to buy stuff that needs a call home to someone else's servers to let me use it.

I passed on Civ 5 because it required Steam. I was passing on Dragon Age 2 for the same reason - they seem to have F***ed that series all up anyway, so it's a good thing I did.

I've decided to become a retro gamer for a while. I play Xbox 360 games with my XBL buddies, an occasional Wii or older PS2/PS1/GC game, and for my PC hankering I'm doing retro Amiga and DOS games.

I'm simply unwilling to buy anything any more. I was willing to tolerate a disc check (like the consoles). But I'm not willing to 'buy' things that require someone's server to give me permission to use it. I'm not willing to take a virtual pat down to use my own property. That's a rental, not a purchase, in my book. I'm down to Stardock (the Baen of the PC gaming world) and Good Old Games for older games.
