Rioja in my glass, as I place online Christmas orders. Need to keep a rein on the wine, or who knows what I'll end up ordering...?

Rioja in my glass too, white.
If you do order too much wine*, I,d be more than happy to help out. * I am struggling with the concept of "too much wine". |

Third tea of the day, while nursing a headache -- probably the weather annoying my sinuses.

Coffee in my cup and of an unknown variety; I was so cold that I didn't bother to check what kind it was when ordering.
Now to add some M&M's to my snack bowl and I will be all set to curl up with my blanket, after I turn the heat up. |

I shall fill my glass with Bombay Sapphire, fill my bowl with pop corn, and fill my heart with nostalgia watching the video of "Dirty Dancing." When I was 18 years old, I worked at the hotel right next to this one as the life guard. Although the names used in the movie are all different, I have real names for each of those characters, and wonderful memories of delightful summer nights spent out on the 17th green, dancing in the night club with 'Bungalow Bunnies' to the music of the live band playing 'big band' tunes (rather than rock and roll,) eating my meals in the dinning room served by waiters in white jackets, all of whom were about my age and in college and working for the summer...

Home, exhausted, and trying to ignore the fact that it is now raining. This means that the covers I put over my oranges are now soaking wet and it will not be good when it freezes tonight. *Can you tell I am too tired to go out in the cold, dark, wet night just to pick oranges? At this point, I'll just hope for the best and that they survive.*
Coffee in my cup and getting ready to curl up with my blanket. I'm too tired to even attempt to read tonight. |

I hope you didn't lose your oranges, dreams. Gotta keep the supplies up to feed my habit.
![]() We had an overnight low of -5, but that looks like the lowest we'll get with this spell. They're saying it will inch up now. this year we managed NOT to lose any hoses, since I actually got them drained in time. But I'm having to change out the waterer for the chickens every 12 hours. Wouldn't want poohbear_nc's cousins to get thirsty. So, my usual morning libations -- a large glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, and a mug of tea. In this case, Peet's Holiday Breakfast Blend. Not my favourite this year (last year's was more to my taste), but still, I've got >100 gms of it, so I need to be drinking it. |

My fingers are crossed that the oranges are fine; I called my parents and they said theirs were fine. They had picked a few before the first hard freeze (not sweet) and then they picked the rest after the freeze (very sweet). So, I have left mine on and will pick at the regular time.
Enjoying a first cup of coffee, as I start a big pot of soup and then begin cooking for an early dinner. We have our "first weekend in December", tree-trimming, dinner today, so my decorations will finally get done. |
