I went for a massage today, which helped a lot... but not enough. So I think it's a valid excuse to have a large, rather than small, glass of rum tonight. It's medicinal! And the aroma goes so well with Tiger Balm. Stitchawl | |

Nothing exciting today, just a big glass of (early season) fresh squeezed orange juice, and a mug of Peet's Anniversary Breakfast Blend. OTOH, it's November, when we usually have ~400 mm of rain, and we haven't had a drop in over a week, plus the sun is out again. Love it!

<grin> Anyone who's ever smelled the breath of a camel would certainly agree. I switched to Ti Kwan Yin for this afternoon. Not sure where I got this batch of it, but I'm pretty sure it isn't really Peet's, even though I have it in a Peet's tin. They really are the perfect tin for 100g/4oz of most teas. Air and light tight, and they stack. |

Where is the Mummy when you need him? King Tut's tomb was entered for the first time on this day, back in '22, bringing the Egyptology word to households all over the world, and of course, the curse... If you remember, it was "Tanna leaf tea" that brought the Mummy to life. Understandably. It's East India Company's "Assam" tea that's bringing me to life this morning! It's Tuesday which means Music Jam session again. Today we're going to play in the afternoon too, so I'd better go out and get some band-aids for my fingers. Several friends requested that we play in the afternoon so their kids could get together at the same time. We'll have wive's, girlfriends, husbands, friends, kids, and dogs today... some playing, some singing, some just keeping time to the music! Could it get any better than this? Good evening, all. Well, Good Morning to you, Stitchawl. Just finishing up the day with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. Perfect for taking my pills. And the one sure thing at my age is one does have pills to take. But heck, it beats the alternative.

Morning everyone. I'm finishing up my first cup of coffee. It's close to the Holiday, so time is getting crazy with trying to get everything done and the regular day. |

It's quite strange about this particular holiday up here in the Great White North. In the US, it's a holiday season from now until after New Years Day. But our Thanksgiving was over a month ago, so there isn't the same sense of a continuous holiday season. In the US right now, you can go into any Starbucks and buy a "Pumpkin Spice Latte" or a slice of pumpkin bread. But ask for that up here, and you get told "that's seasonal". Meaning at Thanksgiving time, in early October. Maybe all the way up to Halloween. But certainly not after. No holiday here, and I just lost a bearing on the motor for my pool's circulating pump. And getting at the pump to pull it and take to the local shop is going to be a royal PITA. Sigh. Ah well, a big glass of fresh squeezed orange juice while I wait for my Peet's English Breakfast tea to steep. |
