Gonna cross post to the comics thread and likely the fantasy one. But the 11 original Sandman graphic novels by Neil Gaiman and many talented artists are on sale for $3 a piece.

It looks to be Amazon exclusive and Amazon lumps them together with larger omnibus editions (not on sale), so you have to sorta look.

Be aware, if you've not read Sandman, the first book, Preludes and Noctures is weak. Neil was still figuring it all out.

Turns out that it's a real thing?! There's an extreme haunted house that has its own Wikipedia page. There's a 40-page waiver, and victims ... I mean customers ... have to use a safeword. What could go wrong?

Some people in the haunted attraction field are worried it could be the next trend.

Never thought I'd post an Ilona Andrews story in Horror, but here you go...

Apparently many years ago, IA wrote a slasher-style short story for a nameless magazine's Horror Halloween issue, but it didn't get published. And they resurrected it just now as a treat for their blog readers.

There are a few spoilers in the blog post, but you can skip them if you wish and go straight to the link to the story near the bottom of the post.

Most importantly, the dog survives and is rescued...

Not my style, but personally, I really like IA's writing, so I came close to enjoying this , and it's possible to recognize some elements that carry through to other books of theirs.

I used to sub to him when lesiure Horror was around, he did have some good ones. I have stopped following the author as much and it's been years since I've read any of his stuff
