Went to the computershop. I got two of these USB-cables for my Kindles with a micro-usb---thought I needed the standard----wrong cables.

And yes; I back up my Mac with Time-machine once a week, and also on two external things. But all in the house..... I'll go looking for an online storage.

I'll never tell anyone that online storage is a bad solution per se, but keep in mind that it eats up usage. If your Internet Service Provider limits you to x GB per month, it will count against that.
