You must do something about these books, for ever-indexing books make your Kindle unstable.

Check by random search which book is still being indexed and throw all not indexed books (you can see that if you press enter=middle of the 5-way) off your Kindle. (=delete).
Then try to get these books on, one by one, and check if it's being indexed.
If not, delete the book again. If it's one of your own books: try to reformat from mobi-to mobi and if it's one from Amazon--email them and they'll reïmburse you.

Keep the Kindle always charged when loading a lot of books, as it takes a lot of energy, and the battery-indicator isn't always right.
I also found that my pdf-books got stuck more often than mobi-books.

Just bought way too many books from The Book Depository. I should learn to control myself better, but the 10% off coupon was just too tempting for me.

Guess I'll have to make some plans for more bookshelves!

Oooh, I'll have to buy some too ! Lately I've been buying all my pbooks at Book Depository, you can't beat worldwide free delivery. Thanks for letting us know

No problem. I'm buying exclusively from them now. They even manage to beat the local stores over here by quite some margin. I've got 15 books inbound at the moment. Not to mention a couple of pre-orders as well.

Needless to say I'm now broke.

Today I wanted to buy The Hunger Games as a pbook for my sister. According to the website of the local bookstore they should have it in stock, but it turns out they didn't. The "nice" shop assistent told me they did have the Dutch edition...about 10 times...even after I told her I wanted the English edition. It was about half of the official price in Holland!

Congratulations! I am so tempted to buy one, just to be able to do like you. I could get all those free (not anyplace else) kindle books and not worry about any fiddling to read them.

There was a time when I would spend 100€ on books every month, but that was before I moved out of my parent's house. I allow myself 50€ a month to spend on books now.

Sleep walking or feel like it.

Went to see the latest Harry Potter last night, didn't get back until gone 12, woke up at 2:20 couldn't sleep and then daughter woke me up at 5:30 argh and has had me looking for a phantom pink crayon for the past half hour which she is convinced she had

Deathly Hallows was weird - I haven't seen a HP since the first one and woah was this in a very different style. It was also very similar I thought to Lord of the Rings with the cloak of invisibility, necklace just like the one ring, light to "show you the way" - creature that looked just like a cuter version of Gollum etc, Harry and co on a bleak journey just like Frodo and Sam. I thought I was watching the wrong movie!

I try to keep it at a level of $30 a month, but with the sales an impulse buying I've almost spent this years budget already!
