hello, i have a rather strange problem after reinstalling koreader on my kobo h2o. i did this numeoues times and this is the first time this happened. i view my files in landscape clockwise. for some reason, now even my filemanager (after starting koreader) is in landscape mode. that wouldnt be so bad, the biggest problem is that its in counterclockwise landscape mode. i havent got the slightest clue how to change it. looked into settings files via file manager, advanced settings in koreader. found nothing. please help
DLANDSCAPE_CLOCKWISE_ROTATION is set to true //also why when i set my sd card as the default folder, after opening koreader, it almost always shows as empty? i have to go one to mnt and back to sd to see the files |

Guys, when I close my cover the devise go into stand-by mode and when I open the coever the reader is awake. It's correct. But I want to get the reader turned off after say 20 min (after closing the cover). Is it possible?

It was discussed about auto closing koreader after some time. I think that this feature is rejected, but I'm not sure.
On having reader on after closing cover, I recently noticed just that in few occasions, but not always. I think that it is more secure to turn it off by power button. When speaking about turning off, I speak about suspending it. I for some time have doubts about using sleep cover as sure way to control device sleep state. At least it is a problem with my device. As I said, not always, but sometimes cover has problems. |

I'm having trouble with the Penguin epub editon of Nabokov's Pale Fire. The cantos are linked to numerous important commentary notes that are not marked with numbers in the text, but single words or phrases are coloured in blue. You can click on them in firefox-epub reader plug-in, calibre and and Android EBookDroid, but with Koreader and Coolreader nothing happens and the coloured text isn't even visible. Any idea? (I'm on firmware 3.19 and nightly build 2015.11.533)

Alan_S, as for me my GLO HD is sleep successfully every time I close the cover. But yesterday I found it fully discharged although I clearly remember the rest battery percent - it was about 20%. Why it happened? I guess when I closed the cover the device stays alive (during reading the frontlight was on) and battery was gone. That's why it would be great to power off the device automatically after 20 minutes of non-using.

hello, i think I found a bug in the latest koreader nightly. when file manager is set to landscape mode as default setting and even if you have orientation set to clockwise, file manager will always open in counterclockwise landscape orientation.
also when you have your sd card set as your home folder (you cannot even do this by long pressing the folder and setting in to home directory, you have to change the settings file manually), it often times loads as empty, even if there are files on the root of your card |

I have problem with Djvu files. If djvu file contains cyrillic symbol in its name, Koreader cannot open this file and says "No reader engine for this file". I wrote developers https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/542 but they dont know how to solve it.
Maybe someone here know how to solve this bug? May shell localization help? How to do it? Last edited by cyberandrew; 08-15-2016 at 12:37 AM. |

KOReader has menu options to not use the CSS within the ebook, (in the bottom reader menu, gear icon/tab) as well as the means to remove the books CSS (can be helpful when the publisher is using special high priority commands) and/or use CSS provided by KOReader or the user - found in the top reader menu. When I set the koreader file manager to "start with last opened file" it will do this after wake up from suspend. It will do this also after power off or reboot and started from KSM 08. Setting KSM 08 (general) option Autoselectoption = start_koreader allows to start koreader immediately after reboot or power on after powered off. It will then however not start with the last opened file but with the file manager. I would like to jump straight into the last opened file after powering up. What can I do? |

You can start koreader via the command line: reader.lua directoryname. It will then start in the filemanager in the given directory. That's done in the script used by KoboStartMenu. So you have to figure out what script is used and modify that.
Tshering, the writer of start menu gives help in his KoboStartMenu version 8 thread in the Kobo developers corner. |

When koreader starts it takes some time to mount it, so it can't access the book. If you copy it to the internal sd it will be available on boot. |

An Aura HD issue. I set backlight to 10 in the configuration file of koreader, but in recent builds (for some months) i always end up with not enabled lamp after wakeup. After start it is fine, and it is also fine if I toggle the state twice (ie. turn it off then on). I couldn't find the build where it worked the last time, and I also wouldn't like to go back too much, but would be nice to solve the issue. (In nickel it is on, so if it owuld work properly, the state in line with nickel should also work.)
Have you experienced such issue? |
