Has anyone else had trouble purchasing from Audible's 2-for-1 sale using Firefox on a Windows PC? It won't go through for me.

Catlady: I had to call Audible Help for this problem. It may have had to do with clearing out recent browsing history. When the problem was corrected, a banner appeared at the bottom of the home screen that showed the items I had ordered and gave a button to click to complete the sale. Hope this helps.

Thanks; I also finally called Audible and ended up having to use Chrome, as Firefox still wouldn't work, even after clearing the browser history.

With Firefox, I was able to put the books in the sales cart; I would see the "proceed to checkout" button and click it; then I would see the "confirm purchase" button and click it; and then I'd once again get the "proceed to checkout" button, over and over.

I don't believe I've used a 2-for-1 sale since Audible changed to this current method with that banner at the bottom of the page, so maybe it never worked properly with Firefox and I'm just discovering it now. I've never had a problem using Firefox for nonsale purchases, including one today.

I had the same problem on the iPad. I had to switch to Chrome to make the purchase. Even then, I had to sign in at each step. I can’t even sign into Audible in Safari on my iPhone.

Its greatness does not come from having the most outstanding ratings--they're very good (4.2 stars (3,302) at Amazon), but not what I'd call outstanding.

Its greatness comes from its long length (338 pages for the ebook), giving great bang for the buck, and from it having a great price, of only $3.98. Yep, that's $3.98 total for the ebook, audiobook, and the syncing benefit! WS deals like that, as you probably know, have gotten as rare as snow in Key West.

Oh, the deal is on Vonnegut's _Galapagos_.
