Good morning, everyone! This song came out 33 years ago, and still sounds fresh to me! But although the song is great, I'm not a fan of either of the drinks made from barley. That's why I'm drinking Ahmad's "English Breakfast" tea this morning instead of beer or whiskey. I suppose that's healthier, although probably not as much fun at parties. Tea just isn't as festive. I've never been served tea with a little bamboo umbrella in it. There are no good books that start off with "so I was sitting on the beach in Fiji, watching half-naked island girls cavorting in the surf, while drinking a cup of Lipton's." We miss out on all the fun...

Good morning, everyone. Already the middle of September and it seems as if it was just mid-summer a few days ago... Time... strange stuff. But time doesn't seem to diminish my love of good tea, no matter how much of it I drink. Today it's East India Company's "Royal Breakfast" tea while I wait for my wife to wake up and join me for breakfast. Then it's off in search of new tea tins... Don't have a clue where to find them in this area, but it will be fun looking.

Actually, a case of my Dyscalculia. I said the number 40 in my mind, but by the time it got to my fingers it came out as 30. 'Traffic' brought this song to the general public in 1970, and 'Fairport Convention' increased its popularity to the folk music crowd. In reality, there are written copies of variations of it dating back all the way to the 1600's! I'm surprised the Francis Child didn't include it in his amazing work "Popular English and Scottish Ballads" that he researched back in the late 1800's.

Good morning, everyone! Well, the Ides of September were actually on the 13th (rather than the 15th,) which coincided with Friday the 13th this year. I didn't hear of any problems in this forum so I guess we're all safe for another month. Unless the Ping River floods... It was raining pretty hard all night. Seems to be letting up now. I'm drinking a mug of extra smokey Lapsang Souchong from McNultey's Tea&Coffee. I wish I'd bought some hickory-smoked bacon to go with it. Instead, breakfast this Sunday morning will be a bit more ethnic; Bagels, Lox, and cream cheese! Not very Thai, I guess.
