A night of struggling with allergies (they've been horrible this summer), and now I'm doped to a fare-thee-well. But I did take some time this morning to slice up a bit of the Guanciale that's been hanging in the curing chamber. WOW is that good. And ready to be vacuum sealed so that it doesn't get any drier. It's too salty to just eat, but that's expected and normal. But as a replacement for pancetta? Or in a dish that is designed around it, such as spaghetti all carbonara and bucatini all'amatriciana? Oh, yeah.

Fresh squeezed OJ and some Anniversary Breakfast Blend tea. And then I'm going to try to take a nap.

My schedule is all mixed up, having gotten up wa-aaa-ay too early to help my Dad get back and forth for a doctor's visit. I want to take a nap, but I've had a bunch of coffee and need to unwind.

I'll probably make a mug of tea and relax over a book for a while ... then doze off.

Thanks, dreams. I don't usually have a problem, which is part of why this is hitting me so hard. Ah, well.

IAC, meds have kicked in and the brain fog has faded a bit, so all is better. Time for a cup of tea, I think. Maybe something light, like a Jade Ti Kwan Yin? Yup, that would be perfect.

Good morning, all. A friend sang this last night and the garden restaurant where we play Tuesday evenings was silent for several minutes afterwards... Beautiful. I'll raise a glass of unbranded Keemun tea to the men and women who worked so selflessly in the hours and minutes afterward to rescue those who could be saved.

MUCH better today. Still some residual allergies, but the Loratadine is working. In my cup this morning, the Peet's Anniversary Breakfast tea from LAST year. Still my favourite, but I'm down to less than an ounce, so no more, I fear. But a nice treat.

Good morning, everyone! I'm feeling Calypso today. Maybe fried plantains for breakfast, along with a big mug of Ceylon Uva tea had something to do with it. Ripe pineapple and papaya beside them, with some fresh yogurt. Damn, I'm feeling healthy!
Weight is dropping again, we're talking long walks during the week and keeping active on the weekends. At this rate we may never get old! Gives new meaning to 'staying in Thailand forever.'

If you have a cough for five days go to the doctor. I didn't and ended up with pneumonia twice. Just go to the doctor.
