I do hope that the news is good SS.

My beloved cats used worry the heck out of me when they used to go MIA.

They were also neutered, but I think that some times they just get 'the wanderlusts'.

A few years ago I had to give one of my cats some very bitter pills -- I can't remember what they were. Anyway, I ended up going to the pharmacy and buying some empty capsules and putting the pills inside those. The capsules didn't have any taste so it was at least a little easier to poke down his throat than the pill, and slicker too.

We are back from the Animal Hospital.

Mr M has a couple shaved patches on his sore leg, but ......

no breaks Yay!!

Looks like a cat fight after all. Couple of punture wounds and small scratches and bruises.

He has had a Metacam injection and the first dose of antibiotic pills. (They ran out of injectible antibiotics

)

Looks like they cut his claws too, I guess that will make it easier to jam the pill down tonight and twice a day for the next week. *sigh*

At least I know where he is.

So glad to hear the relatively good news! Does he like meatballs of wet food? I have also used Easy Cheese (cheese in a squirt can) to disguise pills.

He can tell if you put pills in his food. He sups delicately damn it!
If the pill has no taste you might get lucky to crush it up and hide in food, but most of the time he is on to you and won't eat it.

Unfortunately easier to jam it down his neck!

He is now sleeping on the spare bed comfortably with a smile on his kitty face.

The old saying that "Dogs have owners, and cats have servants". is so true.

I had a Blue Point Siamese once, and I have never seen such a look of disdain on an animal's face if her food was five minutes late.

Just walked past a red belly black snake outside the back door. That's the first black snake I've seen here in twenty years. We usually get brown snakes.
