Nothing in my cup - off to buy some Coke Zero!.

I was talking about the price of a Happy Meal in Japan. It's about $8 there. Hey, if steak can sell for $300-$400 a pound in Japan, a dinner in McD's is a cheap alternative. It one of the reasons we decided to retire in Thailand. We can live like Kings but spend less than 1/4 of what it costs us in Japan. Actually, it's why there are so many Western retirees here. Between the comfortable climate, the friendly people, and the ability to live well for under $12,000 USD a year, it's gotten more and more popular as a retirement destination, as has Costa Rica, Mexico, and Peru. It's especially popular with retired men as there is no "December/May" stigma for relationships, and absolutely no stigma over gay relationships.

It wasn't easy, but we needed it for damage control.

I'm actually thinking about dinner....

Charlie - I've tried the aspirin and it doesn't seem to work for me. I still get the headache, even with expensive red wines. I have no problem with whites. Darn. I was hoping there was something different I could try.

Fresh Sumatra (I really like this one) coffee in my cup.
Sorry, dreams. You might try the aspirin and a Pinot Noir (Burgundy). Make sure you have the aspirin 30 minutes ahead. I find Pinot the least likely of red varietals to cause a headache, with Cabernet Sauvignon the most likely.

Coffee this morning(Peet's Major Dickason's) with my fresh squeezed orange juice.

Oolong tea, yummy. My hip is acting up. I have arthritis in the left hip and it used to cause me pain on a regular basis. I was born with hip dysplasia (sp) and have had hip problems my entire life. Once I started to get in shape and eat better the hip pain went away. But the last two days it has been acting up. I was limping on Friday and the pain kicked in yesterday around 7:30 pm. I have been eating well, sleeping fine, and exercising. (Sigh)

Bummer! Is a replacement an option? I know what a difference in my quality of life my knee replacement made.

My cup is empty :-(

Could be a comment on life really...half full or half empty...don't fill it in the first place and avoid disappointment.

This is the first time in a year it has bothered me this bad so I am a long way away from a replacement but that will happen one day. I just get annoyed when I am taking good care of myself and my leg acts up.

My cup is currently empty ... as are various plates, dishes, etc. Just back from a birthday celebration for my daughter. (Nineteen years! Where did they go?!?! It was just the other day I was lifting her up in the store to ride in the shopping cart seat, and we stopped to see the lobster tank, ...)

Anyway, we had a great time!

it's a world of laughter, a world or tears
its a world of hopes, its a world of fear
theres so much that we share
that its time we're aware
its a small world after all

its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small, small world :whistle"

All right. Curse me now and get it over with...

Good morning, everyone! Today is the Queen's Birthday, and all of the Kingdom takes a holiday... except the Food Lady, thank goodness. But it's a Rainy 'Mother's Day' as it's called here. Drizzle then pour, then drizzle again. I have my second mug of extra smokey Lapsang Souchong tea from McNultey's Tea & Coffee in NY to fire me up today. I forgot to purchase some of the local tea shops Lapsang Souchong when I was there last week. I meant to. I smelled it the week before and it smelled just like an old chimney that had been burning Hickory wood. I'll have to go back today and get 100gm.

Animals walking up the road in twosie twosies, elephants and kangaroosies, roosies...
Heavy rain this morning. The Ping River may very well over-flow it's banks today... It was pretty near the top when we rode by yesterday. It's called the 'Mae Ping' (Mother Ping) as it's the main river that feeds most all the southern rivers, especially the ones that flow though The Big Mango (Bangkok.) This means that if it floods here, it's gonna flood Bangkok again too. In its expansion, Bangkok filled in 90% of the canals that ran through it from ancient days. Very clever on the part of the City Fathers. Now the waters have no where to go except out over the banks and flood the city... TIT (This Is Thailand.)

Well I figured it is 3G, because when wireless is turned on it doesn't connect to WiFi network.

So I cannot register the device from here?

Yup. The K3 had WiFi and you could choose between the 3G/WiFi version or just WiFi version. I believe the Nook was the first e-reader with WiFi on it.

Coke Zero in my cup.

I seem to remember some old thread here about registering without 3G access. Hmmm....

... found it.

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87686

A little bit complicated, but it should get your K2 registered. I think.
