As important to know, I think, as what the plan includes is to know what the plan doesn't include. The only thing that I really miss is being able to take advantage of are the "buy 2, get 1 free" and "get 2 credit books for 1 credit" (ListenerLight plans don't have credits) kind of sales. I'm making up those names of sales because I don't remember the exact names, but maybe you get the idea. There may be another kind of sale, too, that I don't get to participate in but if so I can't think of it right now.

While you don't have credits in the LL plan, you do get to take advantage of deals where you get monetary credits, like the recent $10 credits for Avis and Budget rental car customers. That has been nice.

I've been getting them without any plan. I had a free basic membership (no longer available) that I lost this year when I did a 2-month free promo. Now I'm doing a 3-month $1.95 promo.

The Budget $10, and similar deals, still works if you have no paid membership at all, too.

When that is over, will you cancel your membership? I am certain that I will. I really don't see any advantage, to me, to the LL membership, either. I get audiobooks from the library.

Yeah, I'll cancel. The only reason I keep doing these membership promos is to get the Dune series audiobooks. Other titles don't interest me, because I can get them from the library.

There are 18 books in the Dune series to date. I have 13. This 3-month promo will bring that total to 16. Almost there.

I joined a few years back just to collect the Stephanie Plum series. Now I have like only 3 left and debating if I should downgrade my membership but last time there was too many credit sales and I decided to wait.

I am such a push-over.

I might try to cancel again, and I'm not counting on the same offer. I figure the system keeps count of its bribe attempts.

I updated the list of Top Public Libraries based on OverDrive Audiobook Collections

After looking the list over, I noticed that most libraries have sharply reduced their OverDrive purchases this year. Some of this could be due to budget issues and some to the addition of cheaper audiobook sources such as OneClick Digital, Acoustik, Hoopla, etc.
