Cheap non harmful help for back pin is a mustard plaster. mix one part mustard powder to two parts flour and enough water to make runny paste.

Put paper towel on a piece of plastic (to protect clothing)
Smear 1/2 lightly with mustard mix and fold rest of paper towel over.
Apply for twenty minutes.

Apparently the mustard reduces inflammation and has no contraindications unless you leave it on too long.

Works for me.

The first words of your post were a complaint about the media's lack of coverage of the event; a typical ploy used by people who wish to criticize the media, usually but not always accompanied by the phrase, "the lamestream media". If criticizing the media was not your primary objective, why did you lead off with those words?

I'm not joining in the fight -- but I also thought Stitch was complaining about why media wasn't covering the bombings.

Got a mild backache myself. In my case, due to breaking up and scraping off an inch thick layer of ice from the driveway. It laughs at my flimsy snow shovels, so I'm using a heavy steel garden shovel and making my way one foot at a time.

In my case, I use naproxen sodium -- the generic Aleve.

For somebody who was posting about the bombs and not the media coverage, he seems to be putting a lot of effort into the quoted post to defending his comments about the media coverage

It's almost like he made a mistake and then tried to obfuscate it with nonsensical bluster. Surely not

Why? Because that seemed to be part of the problem. So why not. But certainly not the important part, or I would have devoted the majority of the post to its role. The message wasn't about the red Volkswagen except to those who fail to see what is important.

If you thought that the ten words were the crux of the message, than I've been giving you a lot more credit than you deserve. I'd expect it from PDurrant. I'd expect it from Bilbo. I wouldn't expect it from you.

The most important thing, IMO, is that no one was gravely hurt on February 1st. It's easy to nitpick and bicker about the details... I used to do that a lot when I was younger. I now realize how unproductive and futile it all was--a majority of it, at least.

EDIT: *after reading all articles* One person was injured according to three of the articles. Thank goodness no one else was hurt... to the best of my knowledge.

My right hand has been hurting a lot the past week and now it seem to be going numb ('cause of the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). My wrist is hurting, as well... I think I'm going to rest the next few days until my hand and wrist feel somewhat normal again.

'Have to stop using this Macbook too. That's part of the problem. I have software (called GentleMouse) on my Windows laptop for people with sensitive hands. 'Have to switch over to that laptop as soon as possible. Thank goodness I brought it home from my office the other day.

trichobezoar: Be careful with that. There are things that can help, such as a brace, and topical NSAIDs (Diclofenac gel, at least 4%), but mostly it's changing the mechanics to not continually re-irritate it. Good luck.

Thank you for your concern, CRussel. I need to pick up my braces at the storage unit and rest my hand as much as possible. Concerning the topical gel, I've used Japanese Peppermint oil in the past and it helped considerably. I'll start using it again tonight.

I think it'll take longer than a few days for the inflamation to go down... possibly a week or two. This is so frustrating.

Try adimethyl sulfoxide solution with water for the inflammation treatment.
Unless you have skin issues, because apart from being anti inflammatory and bruise healing, its a solvent.
