That is one seriously tasty bundle. 15 books (currently!), 8 of which are paper copies in my library, 7 of which I don't have as an ebook (I've got Camber of Culdi already). Him indoors is after the Elizabeth Hands (which I've not read yet). Only the Diana Pharoah Francis is a bit iffy for me - I've tried her and found her more romance-orientated.
I would have loved to see CJ Cherryh and Barbara Hambly featuring in the bundle, and more Jo Clayton and Kate Elliott. |

More Open Road titles spotted on Amazon.co.uk at sensible prices:
R A McAvoy: The Book of Kells at £1.86 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Book-Kells-...pen+road+media Robin McKinley: Deerskin at £1.86 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Deerskin-Ro...pen+road+media Dave Duncan: Upland Outlaws (A Handful of Men) at £2.06 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Upland-Outl...pen+road+media Various Andre Norton titles, especially Witch World at less than £3.00 (most seem to be £2.69). Various Piers Anthony, mostly Xanth, ditto. I think a lot of these were in the consolation Christmas sale... |

My usual warning on Robin McKinley: Deerskin It's very well written but can be very disturbing (rape and incest ). |

I'm missing 1 @ $1 level, 1 @ $8, and 2 @ $15, but I know that these books are all regularly on sale for $1.99 ($1.79 for me as a Kobo VIP member), so about the only deal for me is at the $1 level.

St. Patrick's Gargoyle by Katherine Kurtz is currently $1.99 from Open Road.
This is not part of her Deryni series and the style is somewhat different, I still enjoyed it as a light quick read but suggest sampling first to see if you like the difference. https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/st-...k-s-gargoyle-2 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FRQEV9C The gargoyles of Dublin, Ireland, have a sacred duty to perform. Formerly God’s avenging angels, for centuries they have been entrusted with guarding the churches and cathedrals of the Irish capital while avoiding all contact with human beings. But once a month these loyal stone sentries must leave their posts to attend a conclave of their kind, and it is during one such absence that a sacrilege occurs. The guardian of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the gargoyle Padraig, called “Paddy,” has returned to find violence and vandalism committed at his church and two silver artifacts stolen. Taking to Dublin’s night streets in search of a culprit, Paddy inadvertently reveals himself to an aged chauffeur in an ancient Rolls Royce, thereby dooming Francis Templeton to an impending premature death. But the grim reaper will have to wait, because old man Templeton is a member of the Knights of Malta, a secret order of defenders of the faith dating back to the Crusades, and as such is an ideal partner for the onetime angel in his quest for justice and revenge. Their hunt is about to take some sinister turns, however, leading the gargoyle and the knight to Clontarf Castle, where a major demon, an emissary of Satan, is preparing to make his reentrance into the world. |

Glad you enjoyed them! I got the original paperback of Sorcery & Cecelia way back when, and it's stayed with me ever since, along with the hardbacks of the sequels and now the ebooks.
I would also suggest reading the Mairelon the Magician series (also a Regency setting) and the College of Magic series and the the Frontier Magic series. The latter is more pseudo-Victorian set in N America, the former is more Edwardian set in England and mittel-Europe. All are very good. If you can track down a copy of The Serpent's Egg, it probably uses the same world-building, but is more Tudor. It's possible one of the minor characters in that is the ancestor of the hero of Magic Below Stairs. |
