I see what you see if I disconnect via calibre 'Eject device' but I see what Nick sees if I eject via the standard Windows safely disconnect option.

all the windows system tray thingie does ( i think) is check if all data transfers are complete then tells you either - safe to unplug or not yet calibre eject probably calls some other windows function, equivalent to right clicking on the drive in my computer & choosing the eject option in both cases the device should continue to charge until the cable is physically disconnected. |

Even tried it with Calibre running, when I use safe eject from windows 7, the device is not longer present as a drive,no longer in the Safe eject list of usb devices attached, but fully visible within Calibre and I can still send files to it, it don't return to the normal menu.
When Calibre is off, the same happens, it will not return after safe eject, until I take out the cable. |

i think that's normal windows behaviour.
In case 1, windows removes it from list of drives to show, but does not bother to tell calibre that anything has changed ,so calibre still has access. in case 2, calibre has to ask windows what drives are available when it starts up & is not told about the "removed" drive. I don't think you have anything to worry about really, you can connect device to PC , transfer books, charge device, take it away and use it... quit fretting while you are still winning ![]() |

Tried this on 3 pc's, I can eject it, but it doesn't starts up while the computer says "it is save now to disconnect the device" so the computer doesn't tell the device it is ejected, or the devices don't listen to that signal. |

I've found it can take a little bit for my H20 to get out of USB mode when I eject it from either my Mac or my PC. I don't use Calibre on my PC so that's not a factor.

I have calibre and Windows 7, and my Aura now comes back to the home screen without unplugging it after ejecting it.

Hello, sorry if it was asked already, but I noticed that the weight setting in the typegenius of my Glo is not working properly: every time the reader goes in standby, the font weight goes back to the original setting even if the slider is in the position where I left it. It happens with Calibre sideloaded kepubs, didn't try with epubs. Any solution? Thank you.

it just say: The new features and changes in function are: After ejecting the device from the PC, it starts up without disconnecting the cable. Nowhere stands : After ejecting the device from the PC by Calibre, it starts up without disconnecting the cable. In my case it doesn't matter if it is ejected from Calibre or Windows, it doesn't return to the original state (main menu) it just stay like it is still connected showing the picture of the reader connected to a laptop, saying: Connected and Charging, or Connected and Charged. I have to pull the cable on 3 computers, out of it, after it was ejected. Tried 3 cables, tried differend ports, tried on a hub, it just doesn't do like it should has to do from the changelist, not on Glo, not on Aura HD. Calibre has nothing to do with it, it is not a feature of Calibre,it should be a feature of the firmware. |

Well then, I'm baffled why it's ever worked for you (I'm not contradicting you, I'm just surprised). All my working sideloaded fonts have 4 ttf files in the family, not 2.
