Here are a couple more books I'd like to read on my Kindle:

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. There is no Kindle edition. (Her new book, Her Fearful Symmetry: A Novel, is available for Kindle.)

This Is Your Country on Drugs: The Secret History of Getting High in America by Ryan Grim

I keep hoping to see Joe Abercrombie's First Law series show up as ebooks. The publisher's website said they were coming out in mid-June, but I'm still waiting

I'd like to see Raymond Carver's stories released in an ebook format.

None of the Bomba the Jungle Boy by Roy Rockwell books are available as e-books, as far as I know. As a kid, I faithfully read books 1-9. They told the story of his adventures in the Amazon rain forest ("jungle" in those days) as he searched for clues to his origins and his parents. Each time I got my allowance, I'd run down to the local Woolworth's and buy the next installment. Having been informed in book nine that in book ten he would finally find his parents, I couldn't wait for it to come out. (Of course, in the early 60s, they were all reprints). Well, GUESS WHAT? After book nine, our local Woolworth's stopped selling the books! So for the next 40+ years, I had this unanswered question dogging my every footstep: Whatever happened to Bomba when he finally met his parents? (OK, maybe this question didn't dog my every footstep, but I did think about it from time to time.) Then about a month ago, I found an ad for a used copy of book 10: Bomba the Jungle Boy and the Lost Explorers (cloth cover). I bought it, read it with the same gusto I had the other books all those years ago, and now I can finally die happy. There were other books after that, but my question has been answered, and I'm satisfied. Still, if they were available as e-books, I'd probably read them, if only to become reacquainted with my inner child. But I wouldn't begin to consider recommending them to young readers today. The descriptions of him as having the strength of a native and the intelligence of a white don't play as well in the 21st century as they did in the segregated South of my youth.

I want a whole genre. I want technical books, with legible illustrations and working table of contents', at a price significantly lower than the printed version.

Heck, why not B&W comic books? Chess books? It is mainly better editing in non-fiction books I'm after.

I keep looking for Julian by Gore Vidal. It is still available in paper form but I'd like to be able to have it with me.

The vast majority of Peter Ackroyd's work (I've found maybe a dozen of his as ebooks so far) - and I'd like all of it to be available as epub, and able to be sold to someone in the UK

Another one. I'm seeing The Chrysalids recommended a lot here, and noted that Amazon only has it in paperback. (for $11.20 at the time of this writing) That's not too bad, but I'm getting spoiled by my Kindle into not waiting for shipping any more.

I bet my library has this one.

I would love to finally have a complete collection of Roger Zelazny's writings. I currently only have 30 of his 50 books and cannot find the remaining ones (including the poetry).

Never Had It So Good and White Heat by Dominic Sandbrook - social histories of Britain between the 1950s and 1970s.

These are the only physical books I've bought since I got my PRS505.

The ones I periodically and so far unsuccessfully scan for:
Enid Blyton - any and all of her series
James Herriott - the whole series
Farley Mowat - I've only found one by him in ebook form

ABSOLUTELY! An author of genius, in my opinion.

"The Last Detective" , too, was incredible. (I'm glad I archived it on my computer, because Sony deleted the title from their store.)

A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth....if ever there was a book that needed to be made into an electronic version...! (It's nearly 1500 pages long, and even in the paperback version which I have just started reading it weighs a ton). I expect to have very strong wrists by the end of this book.
