Thanks, I got it fixed with a new and bigger SD card . First the touch didn't seem to respond. But It got fixed when I reassembled the casing.

EDIT.

I followed these steps:

1. Formatted a used SD Card (8 GB). unzipped the downloaded img file to desktop. Put it on SD card using https://sourceforge.net/projects/win...e=typ_redirect
2. Removed the front casing with a blunt kitchen knife (this voids the guarantee). I put the blade (not the tip) in the small ridge a the side and levered the front casing from the back. Some of the snapping hooks broke of, so this is probably not the best way to do this. But it holds well after reassembling.
3. Unscrewed the 4 tiny screws. the printed circuit board can now easily be removed from the back casing in one piece with the screen.
4. Got rid of the old SD card. And changed it with the new card.
5. Screwed printboard/screen back in place.
6. Switched it on. It worked.
7. Snapped the front back in place.
8. Enjoying some happy reads now.

My Aura HD's card is out of commision, and I've misplaced my backup image.

Would one of you be so kind as to direct me to where I can either rebuild the image myself, or just download one?

hello, i'm ashamed to ask this but i need an internal sd image for aura hd.

i had backup but i lost it. and my internal sd card(the original one) is broken. out of blue, my device didn't boot one day, trying to figure out what was wrong i took the internal sd and plugged it into my computer and it wasn't recognized. weird, right?

You took the SD card out of a Kobo device and plugged it into a Windows machine? And Windows complained that the device was not recognized or needed to be formated? If so, that is expected. Windows cannot properly handle card with multiple partitions on it.

thank you so much. no that was not the case, this card wasn't recognized at the hardware level, giving me no disk inserted error. when i try the same card reader with another multiple partition card i can access all the partitions using winhex.

Unfortunately my SD card is broken too and Kobo won't help... Is anybody willing to send me the image needed to install a new one? My Kobo Aura HD unfortunately didnt work with the Glo firmware. =)
