Its bad isn't it when you keep seeing books and then check them out and find out you already have them on one of the many TBR lists. . I can't even just have one TBR list, oh no, I have several.

I swear, sometimes I spend more times looking at books, putting them on tbr lists, adding them to wishlists, than just reading the darn things.

And every time I tell myself I just need to read what I already own and then maybe add more from the tbr, I read here and bam, more books added to the lists. I am drowning in virtual books.

Well shoot, I don't read on apps or even my Fire. I tried, its just not very enjoyable to me and my eyes. I might get the free book and that app anyway. Even if I just stare at the cover in the future.

Teresa Medeiros's Vampire series. You will love it! It's just two books but very well done. It's on my keeper shelf. I do wish there was more historical paranormal than Time Travel. So far the ones I have picked up have been lacking in historical charm one needs to pull one off.

I really do! I love free books. Today has been an awesome day. First I'm over at Swagbucks finishing up a survey and then saw my total jump 500SB ($5) Turns out some shopping I did in August qualified for a bonus! Then I see that Swagbucks posted my $50 Amazon Gift Card so I ordered a Purple Origami Case ($49.99) to go with the Kindle Fire HDX that will be here on the 18th and now I get a free book I was going to buy!

I'm over the moon right now! I had such a crappy day yesterday but this so makes up for it!

I am thinking of trying that new subscription service that just open up for $9 a month. I looked at the app and it looks like it would be easy to read on. Very similar to Overdrive's app.

Thanks, I will check those out! I've read a few of her historicals this year (Shadows and Lace, Nobody's Darling, and Fairest of them All) and enjoyed them.

Grats on your SB gift card! I have been getting $5 AGCs but had to quit... I got my hubby a Foot Locker card for his birthday and he needs another to help get them. And my very pregnant sister is having her first girl (after two boys), so I promised I'd get K-Mart gift cards for nursery things. Which reminds me I've not done any of my Swag stuff today, so I better get moving!!!

I have to read on e-ink. Anything that is like LCD is not good for me to read books on. So I like the idea of a subscription, depending of course how much romance is offered, but I have to be able to transfer the books to my kindle.

Oh and I am looking forward to reading the Medeiros vampire books, I got them from the library as ebooks based on your recommendation.

I read that the new tablets make it very easy to read on. They are not like the ones we are use to. The Nexus 7 and HDX should make eye strain a thing of the past.

Oh I do hope you enjoy the series! I found them charming with just enough paranormal in it to make them unique. They are lighthearted books nothing heavy or scary.

I do hope you enjoy the series. It's one of my favorites and got me hooked on her books!

I don't do the $5 cards I cash out at $50 which is about once a week for me. They've been really quick is getting the AGC, PayPal and Walmart out. I ordered mine on Friday with the hopes it get here Friday so I could order that case! I needed it because I had to order it on Hubby's Student account. He has Prime and I don't and two day shipping is $14 without it! I paid that for the HDX on my account wasn't about to pay for it again. So I am so happy it showed up so I will have both on the same day. I just hope they come through the same carrier.

Now all other earnings will be book money and hubby's Xmas present once I figure out what to get him! He's so hard to buy for.

I wouldn't do it, unless I could download them to my Kindle Paperwhite.

I have the new Nexus 7 and absolutely love it. I don't know how they could possibly improve the text quality, it's incredibly sharp with no ghosting or visible aliasing. I use Mantano as my reading app so I'm constantly using the convenient brightness slider depending on light conditions. No eye strain, just as comfortable as my paperwhite but the Nexus is my prefered device. I was using a GT 7.7 which had the best screen available at the time and was pretty expensive but the new Nexus is sooooo much better. I haven't picked up the GT in 2 months, I guess I really need to look into selling it.

If you haven't yet looked at any of the newer HD tablets in the 300+ ppi range it's well worth investigating.

There are a fair number of historical PNRs out there, it just depends on how much paranormal you enjoy.

I always recommend Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series (the books are Soulless, Changeless, Blameless, Heartless, Timeless). The first book goes on sale occasionally, and the bundle of all 5 is only $20 at Amazon. It's a Victorian comedy of manners with vamps, werewolves, and steampunk element and I found it to be laugh out loud funny.

Parasol Protectorate

I also enjoyed The Relics of Merlin series by Kathryne Kennedy. I think it starts with Enchanting the Lady. It reimagines Victorian society with rank based on how strong your magic is.

Mary Robinette Kowal writes a series that I've heard described as Austen-like, only with magic. I've been wanting to try it, but haven't gotten around to it. Shades of Milk and Honey

Finally, Lydia Dare writes a werewolf series in Regency England (she has a Regency vamp series also). I tried the first one and it wasn't my cuppa, but I think they are pretty popular. A bundle of the first three books is currently selling for $5.38.

Lydia Dare werewolf bundle

There are others, but that's off the top of my head while at work.

I read two of Lydia Dare and it's Meh nothing special. If you like formulated regencies with a light touch of werewolf or vampire then you might like it but I thought it wasn't lighthearted or funny and it didn't have any real depth to it. So to me it was meh. It could have not had the paranormal element to it and I still think I would have found it lacking.

There are more I know of but I think they would be too paranormal for her which is why I haven't recommended them. Alexandra Ivy's My Lord series just to name two more but these fall heavy on the paranormal. Then there's Colleen Gleason's Vampire series but it's a dark one. Kathryn Smith's Brotherhood of Blood is another one but I have not read it. Lucy Monroe's children of the mood is a good Highlander's series with parnormal elements in it. I think Sarah was the one who got me to buy it. She isn't a heavy paranormal reader like Jane.

Oh and one more that I do recommend. How could I forget. Susan Krinard's Fane series.

Oh and you may have this one. It's a oldie and I have it on my Kindle.

I have all these PNRs on my Kindle to read this month and here I am caught up in Inside Out Trilogy by Lisa Renee Jones. I just have to find out what happened to poor Rebecca!
