I agree. I overall love this series, but there are a few phrases Singh tends to overuse. I didn't notice them when I was reading the books, but when I started listening there were a couple of phrases that I couldn't help noticing again and again and again.

It's helpful if I want to do a series "re-read" for me to break it up with books from a different author and/or genre.

Annual fee but well worth it if you use the site extensively like I do. I use it ten to twenty times a day.

I seldom ever read a book in a series one after another I usually stop on the third or fourth book. I can only think of two I read straight through. Stephanie Plum and The Nightwalkers series. I couldn't stop when reading them. I usually need a different genre to keep me from getting burn out.

$20 a year is certainly reasonable. I use the site a lot for series information, not so much for searching by blurb, although they don't always have the series information correctly.

I was on the site was back in the beginning where users were pretty much the ones adding all the data, so it was only as good as the users who added it.

But it would be nice to have that search capability when you're trying to remember a book, but only remember main bits of the plot and not the author or title.

Yes I used it to solve a couple of those HaBOs but I use it mostly to find the original title for books that have been renamed and put up digitally, like Carol Grace's books.

I'm on the fence on this one, but knowing me I'll probably hit buy when I'm done. [I have 2 freebies by this author but haven't read either] $.99 Live For You by Marquita Valentine
blurb:
***Mature New Adult/Adult novel - suited for ages 17+***

On the surface, twenty-two year old Cole Morgan is exactly what any girl would be proud to take home to meet her parents: He's charming, intensely handsome and goal-oriented...Only he has some secrets of his own, which include provoking bar fights and a former drug-addict of a mother slowly wasting away in a medical facility.

At barely twenty, Violet Lynn is Country Music's hottest star, until one night of partying gets out of control. Violet ends up in jail and on TMZ. Suddenly, she's the girl least likely to be invited anywhere. Sick of the drama and keeping secrets, she runs away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi to her grandmother's home in Forrestville, North Carolina.

A chance meeting knocks Cole off his feet, but he doesn't recognize Violet for who she is. In fact no one does and Violet plans to keep it that way.

Circumstances, however annoying, keep throwing Violet and Cole together. Unable to stop themselves they give into the inevitable.

But when Nashville is ready to forgive and forget, Violet is forced to choose between Cole and claiming her spot as the new and improved Princess of Country Music.

Will Violet and Cole have the courage to live for their dreams...Or their hearts?

Twist - Colby Hodge or Cindy Holby - Previously pubbed by Love Spell - $0.99

I think it was published from Dorchester's sci-fi romance imprint, Shomi.

Quote:
You can never predict...Abby Shore never intended to be the savior of the world; it was just something that happened--like her father's tragic death and the fact that she's now poor and "flipping" houses in the chicago suburbs to finish college. And there's more: behind a crumbling wall in her current renovation, a swirling vortex hides. It's a gate, a portal--and it will not only cast her into the arms and power of the enigmatic yet doomed Dr. Shane Maddox, but also into the clutches of Lucinda, the eerie, leather-clad beauty who shadowed his every move in the Sacred Heart ER. Abbey will soon be one hundred years int the future, in a dying land filled with roving bands of humans fighting for survival, and he "ticks" against whom they fight. Oh yes, Abbey's live has had a Twist.

The Brazen Trilogy by Elizabeth Boyle is on sale for $2.99 for all 3 in one.

http://www.amazon.com/The-Brazen-Tri...dp/B00773IVNG/

Sorry, I don't know how to make the shorter links.

The blurb

Quote:
A bargain-priced boxed re-release of Elizabeth Boyle's wildly popular, Brazen series: BRAZEN ANGEL, BRAZEN HEIRESS, and BRAZEN TEMPTRESS.

BRAZEN ANGEL: Lady Sophia D’Artiers plays a dangerous game of deception that pits her against the most unlikely of adversaries, her betrothed, Giles Corliss. Winner of the prestigious RWA RITA Award for Best First Book.

BRAZEN HEIRESS — Lady Lily D’Artiers is lured into spying by her childhood love, the bold and dashing Webb Dryden.

BRAZEN TEMPTRESS— Julien D’Artiers’ double life as the toast of the ton and an American privateer are about to collide when he finds himself face to face with the one woman who could unmask him: his wife.

I bought all three with Kobo coupons and I can say I paid more.
I would grab this in a heartbeat if I did not have it already.

Oh I jumped on it like a cat on catnip.

I love these re-released historicals. That's a super bargain right there. I liked the other Boyle books I read, so I hope I like those too. Once I get to them that is.

blurb:
I bought it. She is in a box set with Janelle Denison & Carly Phillips two very known mainstream romance authors. So that and the blurb was enough to make click buy. So that's two books with Country Music stars I've bought this week.

Oh I will read it I just needed a break. Anytime I am reading a book that doesn't have much lightheartedness in it I need to read something else after a couple of books. I have to purge those negative emotions so to speak or I will start looking at the story from the wrong perspective.

I am half way through Hell On Wheels by Karen Leabo. I just love books with road trips in them. There is something about putting the main couple in a vehicle for a couple days and seeing how things go.
