And here's the main page for Goodreads overall reading challenge. Obviously some people put in they wanted to read several million books, making the overall number way too high...but still cool, you can see friend's challenges.

that's just plain silly. everyone should take down their tickers if that's the case. I say put it back up and let the whole group of mods address it. there has never been a stated policy about that. dang there's people with entire commercial billboards in their sig lines

LOL@ the commercial billboards. I know, but I've decided it's just not that important to me. I like hanging around here with fellow readers and that's really all that matters to me. I don't have any real life friends who are readers and my daughters are too busy with careers and families to discuss books much. I have my 21 month old grandson everyday too, so I can sacrifice a sig line for adult converstation.

I agree. I think I will get lost trying to find my original post to edit/update and I will run out of room. Also, we can't see out tickers in the social group.

I am not sure how to do it though, because if we have a thread for everybody to post on, it will get crowded. If we all start out own threads, it will be nice and organized, but we won't have as much interaction. I know I won't go into every person's thread and comment as I just don't have time. But I will read through one single thread.

Agreed. Maybe we just need another thread that is specifically for book comments.

It will get really convoluted. I don't think there is a perfect answer to this.

I also seems like Terminator has abandoned this project so we need to make a decision agreeable to most and just do it.

I thought about this as well. I guess we have to have two separate threads. We need a place to discuss books for those who want to, and then another thread to post our books were everyone can edit his/her list (just like on the social group).

Oops, that's what MrsJones said as well ! But that really seems like the only way to do it.

A sticky seems a good idea ! But we need it to be more than the 'what are you reading' thread, or there would be no point to the sticky.
