Ever since I canceled, when I go over to eStories to see the daily deal, I get an offer for half off my first three months. Also, when I checked the Reddit offer mentioned upthread, I'm apparently eligible for that as well, though I didn't take it yet. eStories is showing me logged in, and they're even showing my payment method, so presumably they have no problem with the fact that I came off another promo just a week ago.

I'm going to. I also realized I haven't yet used the Libro.fm offer of the first book for a buck.

And then there's the free month of the Audible romance package--there are several classics and suspense titles I'm interested in, even though romance isn't my genre.

Hadn't noticed. But, thank you for sharing that observation.

I had a fairly major surgery all the way back on October 1, and a followup surgery less than a week later. I've had extra free time as I saw all of the doctors, convulesced (sp?), had physical therapy, etc.

I just signed up cuz I've used emusic in the past so I trust the company, and it was free, but I didn't research how it works or anything.

I just grabbed my first free book, and it is indeed downloadable as a DRM-free mp3 collection. Nice.

I tried estories also and I am mostly pleased. In addition to what Catlady said concerning some books being only available for cash be aware of this policy:

"If you stop being a member with eStories, you will stil be able to access the site as an A La Carte customer. However, your cloud storage will go from being an unlimited version, to a free version that is limited in regards to how many items you can have accessible and playable.

In addition, if one abandons their account completely for 6 months, without any access at all, their library will be deleted."

I downloaded and securely stored the books I purchased and intend to visit now and then . Just something to keep in mind.

At least it's great based upon most of the WS deals that we've seen lately.

It's $5.48, thanks to a nice markdown on the ebook part (to $1.99), and a nice price on the Whispersync audio portion ($3.49). For newbies, the Whispersync deal gives you the ebook, the corresponding audiobook, with a sync'ing together of the two (so that you can pick up with reading, where you left off on the audio, and vice versa).
