I was wondering if that was the case. I have just checked in the changes to recognise the Elipsa. They will be in the next release of calibre or you can run from source. It doesn't have the correct firmware or database versions. I will update those when I find out what they are. This will mean the warning about the firmware will be displayed, but, using the "Attempt to support newer firmware" option in the driver should be safe.

For the firmware, I didn’t sign a Non Disclosure Agreement, but I think it is inappropriate to show data from a device that is not yet in availability. I hope you understand. |

I don't think it's inappropriate to give the firmware version.

I know. I'm wondering if the factory firmware is going to be a 4.27 or 4.28 or something, but the first update will be 5.0. The changes in this should justify the full version bump.

Question:
Save template: {#kobopath}/{author_sort:sublist(0,1,&)}/{title} - {authors} Occasionally I have a fanfic change titles. The driver sends it as a new book because the save template has changed. I end up with duplicate copies of the book. Is there a way to have the driver just overwrite the existing matched book despite it being the wrong title? |

I've considered it how to handle this, but, the work involved doesn't seem worth it. This has to be done by overriding something in base calibre code, and there isn't a good spot to do it without major changes. The alternative would be a "move" function in the Kobo Utilities plugin to change the name of the existing file. But, that means a lot of database updates. It is a bit to risky. |

Also, I thought the saved metadata on the device kept some of this info. |

Hi,
I get the following error when I try to transfer a rather large book. Calibre crashes randomly (it might work the next time I try) with large books (over 1000 pages) This yime I was "lucky" to get an error message. Maybe someone can help me? Thank you. Here is the error message: During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred: Traceback (most recent call last): File "calibre/gui2/device.py", line 89, in run File "calibre/gui2/device.py", line 595, in _upload_books File "calibre_plugins.kobotouch_extended.device.driver" , line 406, in upload_books return super(KOBOTOUCHEXTENDED, self).upload_books( File "calibre/devices/kobo/driver.py", line 2137, in upload_books File "calibre_plugins.kobotouch_extended.device.driver" , line 302, in _modify_epub raise e.__class__(msg).with_traceback(tb) File "calibre_plugins.kobotouch_extended.device.driver" , line 276, in _modify_epub common.modify_epub( File "calibre_plugins.kobotouch_extended.common", line 235, in modify_epub container.smarten_punctuation() File "calibre_plugins.kobotouch_extended.container" , line 369, in smarten_punctuation self.__run_async_over_content(self.__smarten_punct uation_impl) File "calibre_plugins.kobotouch_extended.container" , line 417, in __run_async_over_content self.__run_async(func, names) File "calibre_plugins.kobotouch_extended.container" , line 409, in __run_async [th.start() for th in threads] File "calibre_plugins.kobotouch_extended.container" , line 409, in <listcomp> [th.start() for th in threads] File "calibre/startup.py", line 157, in new_start File "threading.py", line 852, in start RuntimeError: Failed to process Divina Commedia by Dante Alighieri: can't start new thread |
