A mixed day outside, and I have a long drive again today, down to Redmond for work. So, a good day to start out Peet's Pride of the Port in my cup.

Friday - 5/24 - Emailed Bunn with a 7 year old coffee machine that was leaking, they said mail it in and they would replace it for $50. (I had no recite/etc). Keep in mind this is a $400-$500 commercial grade coffee machine.

Tuesday 5/28 - Mailed machine to Bunn

Friday 5/31 - Got invoice from Bunn via postal mail for $61.04 ($50 + taxes and shipping)

Monday 6/3 - Mailed Bunn check

Tuesday June 11 - RECEIVED A REFRUB BUNN! Date Code 0113 If I read that code right, this Bunn is not all that old. Less then a year old. I can deal with that.

Just finished rinsing it. $61 is a heck of a deal for a machine like this. Bunn freaking rocks. I may never have to buy another coffee machine if they are going to do this.

It's just dawn... Felicity is sitting on the window ledge trying to figure out how to get the Mynah bird sitting outside on the ledge... My wife just left for the airport to return to Japan to finish up to legal work for the condo sale, and I'm off to learn my new address so we can tell the shippers where to send our stuff!

15th floor of a 16 floor condominium, magnificent views out the windows, (Biiiig windows!) two bedrooms (we couldn't find a single bedroom place anywhere, only fully furnished 1-room studios or 3-4 bedroom houses,) large living room, kitchen with actual counter space (after years of Japan's 14" of counter space I don't know what I'm going to do with it all,) semi-furnished with king sized bed, L-shaped sofa and two arm chairs, several cabinets, built-in closets, two full baths, both with hot water (not usual in Thailand,) hardwood floors (typical in Thailand) swimming pool, maid service, wi-fi, 2 TVs with cable, 24-hr security desk with video security on all floors and parking garage, key-card entry to the elevators, convenience store and restaurant on the ground floor, and a 4 minute walk along a street lined with restaurants to a four-floor shopping mall. Roughly $100 under what I had budgeted for.

Yes, the owners are the parents of my friends who own the Pro photo shop.
Except for the nutty insanity of the Japanese bureaucracy at the beginning of this move, everything... and I mean everything.... went so smoothly it was almost comical. Now I'll stay here in the hotel for the next two days while the building's maintenance crew cleans the places and polishes the floors, then I'll move our stuff from the hotel into the new home. I'm ready...

And... as it's now almost 7am and the restaurant downstairs is opening and getting ready to make tea, I'm gonna go and drink some! Then it's off to the bank to open an account, off to the 'rubber stamp' maker to get our address made into a stamp. Then I think I'll visit one of the temples and offer up some prayer. It never hurts to say thank you. And then perhaps just relax and read for the rest of the day.

Let the morning time drop all it's petals on me.

Sounds fantastic Stitchawl. Crossed my mind about walking up all those flights of stairs too, if the lift's not working, but then you'd probably enjoy that . And all the mod cons too? Brilliant!
