True but this should not have impacted my build when I modified the existing file which was working fine. Maybe copy/paste or OpenOffice are responsible ...

Does the problem also occur if you save directly from google docs, overwriting your local lang.ods? That has always worked for me. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you though, it's getting kind of late

I've already checked and yes, it works in that way, thank you very much BTW, I've found that the new strings appear in English in my 350, as I suppose they're not translated to Spanish, not the label themselves.

No you are right. I will give it a try again soon, because at that time the google sheet was faulty.

Edit: Nope still the same problem, I get the tag and then error: invalid type

Edit2: Seems the ods file is corrupted, I have the same results now even with the file in repository.

Edit 3: I reverted to german translation update and it worked fine again. i don't seem to have a font for chinese also but maybe this is normal.

Can somebody explain how the custom view settings (contrast / brightness) should work? Especially how to use the restore button.

I normally use the setting 0/-15. Is it possible to make smaller steps? At least steps of 5?

I just see, there are steps of 5 for contrast in the range between -50 and 50. It would be enough for me, to add these values to brightness, too.

Please check lang.ods for empty lines and

check resulting language-file xx.js for lines like this:

 : {
}

As these prevents the JS file from being loaded.

The setting binds your custom values to the restore button. So whenever you press the restore button (which is in the menu for adjusting the custom view), it restores contrast and brightness to PRS+ settings, instead of to 0 or prestored values. I tried experimenting with different approaches to avoid having to use the restore button, but couldn't make it work without breaking the builtin functionality.
As for adding more values: that shouldn't be a problem. Ideal would be if users got a popup where they could enter the value themselves, but I'm not sure PRS+ supports such a dialog in the settings menu. Kartu will know the answer to that.

If it is not possible to enter values in the preferences, maybe we could read them from a file. But for now I Would be happy to have the same resolution for brightness as for contrast.

I know, but I was talking about some messages which said that the English translation should be obtained if there wasn't any other translation and, in my case, it's happening now. And the hyperactive Spanish translator was very aslept this morning, my 350 will be all in Spanish this evening

It might be possible, but it's a lot harder to make than the current functionality. Setting these values as default every time a book is opened means messing with the specific settings stored for the document itself. Currently, prs+ just comes in when you press the restore button, which is a lot easier. I might enhance the functionality at some point, but it won't be right now

As you ask so kindly... , would it be possible to have a "special" collection ("Menu", e.g.) that will appear at the book list, so we can choose that appear there?. It's a workaround for choosing directly the books.

I considered this option as a way to let users choose the books, but didn't really like the idea of a PRS+ collection hanging around. If the collection at some point isn't used anymore, I can imagine users wondering whether they can delete the collection without problems. But since you bring it up, I will consider adding such an option

I wasn't thinking about an special collection, created by PRS, but something which is controlled by the user. Anyway, thank you for thinking about it.
