Right now: finishing up a slice of triple-chocolate cheese cake which was obtained for me as part of a birthday event.

The joys of a new puppy

I just gave my new puppy a 10 minute penalty (put in her crate) for chewing completly through my new SOny A/C cHarger for my PRS700 and 505. She was so quiet, right at my feet.

We've got a PSP charger because we've also got a PSP so I'm not just stranded with USB charging.

Should put myself in the penalty box, the wire was well hidden but not well enough for that smart cute pup not to find!

OH NO! Please tell me the charger wasn't plugged into the wall when this happened.

Yes it was plugged in, it had finished charging last night and was still plugged into my PRS700. No shock at all.

*edit* maybe because he chewed past the transformer bit!

I'd also be worried about the possibility of little bits of wire being swallowed.

You might try putting cayenne pepper on wires you're worried about the puppy chewing on.

In unrelated news, my purple dragon egg developed "soft shell sickness" so I had to hide it for a bit. Not that any of them are showing up on my browser, but I imagine the "views" total still goes up based on http requests received.

The late Monty seemed to consider that, quite rightly I suppose, "seasoning". Picture an Airedale wandering around the garden finding all the little upright jets of the watering system, and just nipping off the sprayer from the top (he didn't even chew on them or swallow them - just "pruned" them). Come 4pm, when the watering system switched on, 20-30 narrow jets of water shooting 20 feet in the air. Little bugger.

Cheers,
Marc

Hm. Lemon juice was my other suggestion. I suppose Monty liked that as well?

We end up moving house, and the new one didn't have a watering system.

Earlier he'd eaten the snail pellets we'd scattered (the ones that were supposed to be "dog-friendly") and nearly died. After that, knowing his "chew/eat anything" tendencies, caution covered all but the most disgusting things he'd sneakily snatch on a sidewalk or in the park. Fortunately, he was a very good boy, and could have grabbed something like a chicken bone off the sidewalk and if I told him "DROP IT!" he would immediately do so, even to the point of trying to cough whatever it was up.

He was the greatest dog ever. Gods-damned nasal cancer. I miss him.

Cheers,
Marc

You have a new puppy and you still have not posted pictures? That is hardly acceptable.

Aw, sorry about Monty, Marc. How old was he when he died, and do you still have Maggie? They're both very pretty.
