I once had a roommate who, after a divorce, got custody of the ferret. This ferret was so nasty I renamed it Guido - it would ambush and bite ankles - the dog's, ours, whoever. The Irish setter was terrorized.
The house was a ranch style with all hardwood floors from end to end - with an attached garage we converted into a gym for the exercise equipment.

Anyways, one night Guido ambushed me outside my bedroom door (the last room on the hallway) - and I lost my temper, grabbed him, and slid him along the polished floor into the kitchen, where he ended up bumping into the door to the garage.
He loved it! Came romping back to be "bowled" again. It turned into the ultimate party game, and morphed into "Pinball Ferret" - you had to slide Guido down the hallway, bank him off the kitchen chair & table legs, and still end up at the garage door.
Disclaimer: No ferrets were ever injured in this enterprise. In fact, it saved the little stinker's life.

That's funny because SolRaven just saw a gray fox walking on the school campus. At first I thought it was a cat, but then saw it's profile as it walked underneath the lit canopy by the cafeteria. I had no idea we had wild foxes around here. I've been here 5 years and still haven't seen an iguana or an alligator.

Foxes are an introduced species here and as such are not particularly welcome here due to what they do to native species. Only animal rights activists seem to like them; everyone else either seems to be satisfied with the thought of shooting them or turning them into nice coats..

Your cat is exhibiting displaced hunting/play behavior. You need to shift her predatory attention to an acceptable target. Do you have one of those toys that are like a fishing pole with a bunch of feathers at the end of a string? Use it to shift her attention from your anatomy to the "prey" - that usually breaks the habit.
