Retinal tears (which can lead to retinal detachments) rarely have any symptoms until they are advanced. During a routine check up last year my Optometrist found a tear in one eye. I saw the Ophthalmologist the next day and he found a tear in each eye. On a follow up appointment with the Ophthalmologist 3 months later he found a third tear in my right eye. So far they appear stable but I have another follow up appointment in November.

I do not have any symptoms. Only the regular check ups found them.

Nook HD and Moon Reader pro

My first post on Mobile Read, and typically, it turns out to be a rant. I've been reading ebooks for three years now, and lost a Kindle and a Simple Touch through damaged screens, both of them once the warranty ran out. After the last one I decided to get a NOOK HD. It's great and it's amazing how much the colour adds to the experience. But yesterday I bought Moon Reader pro and have felt like tossing the Nook out the window, even though I know it's either the MR pro or me that's at fault.
Moon Reader pro reads loads of formats. I can even read my old Kindle books with it. But it won't import or read any books off the device, and seems to have set the sd card as default main folder. Now I've been up and down the lists and in and out the library but I can't find any way to make Moon Reader pro take books off my device HD. I've read mention of the 'miscellaneous options' and thought something might be in there, but I can't find the damnable thing anywhere. 'Options' is easy to find but there doesn't seem a way to import any books from the device itself.
I'm pretty 'p'd off with it, and my patience has taken a dive.
Anybody got any advice?
Adding to my woes is my inability to find how to post on here, other than adding to an existing post. My learning curve seems to have disappeared along with my patience. I hope they're happy together...

You're more likely to get help in the Barnes & Noble NOOK section of the E-Readers forum here at MobileRead.

Toss some scratch out for the chicken, then pour it a large double-Lagavulin with just a splash of water.

Makes any chicken's day better.

Just remember, Mr. Chicken, that they're not "users and managers" but "losers and manglers". And try not to actually call them that to their face.
