For those of us not gifted with time conversion skills, it is 5:45 a.m. here. To add insult to injury, as the saying goes, it is 5:45 a.m. on a Saturday morning. So why on earth am I up and posting this at this ungodly hour, instead of curled up in my warm bed next to Chris asleep? Because I'm an idiot, that's why. All shift long yesterday, I told Chance, my night manager, to NOT LET ME FORGET that I had the service desk keys, because I didn't want to have to get up at 5:45 a.m. and get out in 23 degree F. cold to return the darn things. He forgot. So did I. I found them clipped to the front of my vest when I got home. DARNIT!!!! So yeah...I'm up, waiting another few minutes to go start the car and go up there and return the cursed keys! (Okay, maybe this should have gone in vent and rant...but it IS what I'm doing right now....).

Time change, pff, that's all in the past for us!

Just back from the first show by the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, part of a "living legacy" tour before the company disbands. I can't think of a better way to spend a drab, dreary, rainy November afternoon. Now I've changed into my Eskimo clothes and put on the John Cage CD I borrowed at the library, and am getting ready for a quiet comfortable night at home

Next Thursday I'll see the second part of the show, "Roaratorio", which is based on Finnegan's Wake

Right now I'm washing my Snuggie because my cats have gone all judgmental on me. They obviously want me to show a little more class and get a lovely cashmere blanket or something, because they have thrown up on the Snuggie TWICE this week when I wasn't home.

(If I got rid of the Snuggie I wouldn't have anything to match my Anti-Abduction helmet.

Actually I didn't know much about John Cage until recently, but since I started going to dance performances I've heard some of his music, and decided to investigate, hence the borrowing of the CD

I don't think it would last very long. Besides, the previous owner took down the chimney and put it in the cellar, and I don't know how to get to the cellar
