I find it a useful descriptive phrase, so I know to avoid it. I don't mind the phrase.

That said, I *do* like Jodi Taylor's books, so I'm at least reading the blurb about it. If it's seriously "chick lit", I doubt I'll get it.

Hmmm. The ebook itself is $3.99. I hate to tie myself down to ONLY the audio, for this small price difference.

Is there a way to tell, BEFORE I buy the ebook, whether the Audible version is free with the ebook, or is an added cost?

It won't be free. It's not even Whispersync. $2.95 is the best price you'll get for this audiobook.

Um, I think you have to buy it from Tantor's website to get it for free. The Audible option isn't under their control. The books are DRM-free, though, so you can load them on your device as you see fit.

I just finished the Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell. I need a new series to start. Any suggestions.

I enjoyed Kathy Reichs's series about Temperance Brennan. The TV series Bones is said to be loosely based on these books. I was thinking about starting the Scarpetta series next :-)

Thanks, sounds like a great new series to start. And my library has them.

I enjoyed the Scarpette series. Overall I would give the series a B. A few things bothered me but that was just me. My biggest problem was having to get use to so many different narrators. A few of the books are not available in audio in the USA. Or they have gone out of print (what ever that is for audio). I got lucky and some remote county in Kentucky has cassette tapes for some of the books. So I had to dig out my old cassette player.

I went down to a farm supply store because they where having a big sale on chicks. I got there and found a bunch of baby chickens. What a letdown.
