...and - apart from that - the download of respective zip-files. I have that working now (the way I like it, that's why it takes too much time). Take a look at: https://oupala.github.io/apaxy/ Next is to make a docker container out of it. Does not work for me or I do not understand it enough.... Or do you have apache2 installed on your Pi? sudo apache2 -version Last edited by mariosipad; 06-26-2023 at 12:49 PM. |

...objective is a photo collection website Take a look at https://bpatrik.github.io/pigallery2/ it does not look as nice as https://www.haselau.eu/photos-public.html but it has a nifty download feature. You put all the photos you want your friends to download in a directory and that directory can be downloaded as a zip file. I like this! |

sorry for late reply - I'm just online by the use of a smartphone hotspot, we had a total crash of a lightning strike in the direct neighborhood and router/TV/internet/phone are crashed and need to be repaired by several companies. Fortunately, my wife and I overlived as we were on the way from the garage to our home while the lightning went down directly beside us in a neighborhood house/chimney and stones crashed down - fortunately - beside us and not on our heads. Nevertheless, thanks for your work, need some time to be online regular and hope that just the media converter only crashed and not the router itself, as - after an update 1 week ago - I did not make a new backup copy of the router's configuration |

No worries! Your, and your wife's, health and safety are way more important than being online on mobileread.com! To check if you router (Fritz!box) is still ok: - on your PC in a browser go to the login page of the router, - if you can login, it's ok. - if all lights on the router are off (and plugged in to the power and switched on) then check the power source of the router. But if your TV still switches on (to snow?), I think it will be ok. I will patiently wait until you are back online! |

thanks for the good wishes, appreciate it! here we go again, fortunately the technician who had to change the media converter lives nearby at our village and contacted me at 8pm today, changed the media converter and the fritzbox router, which was damaged, too. Unfortunately, I had no backup with the port etc things we did for the raspberry, will try to execute this tomorrow morning, cu then |

Great. And calibre-web running and accessible both internal and external? Then you’re up and running again! |

OK! Questions: 1 - you can use docker? 2 - have you visited https://bpatrik.github.io/pigallery2/ ? I do not think its suitable for 10.000+ photo's, but its usable for using with your friends. 3 - does your Pi have a cooling fan? Importing a few hundred pictures is quite a task for the Pi, and it will run hot. I do not want to think about a few thousand ........ |

1 - well, docker should be installed 2 - even if pics are on an external stick/ssd? 3 - hence, no (real) import |

As far as I can see pigallery2 makes thumbnails of every picture in the "images" directory. The Pi has to work hard (CPU) to do that. Cooling or a good heatsink helps. Do you want pigallery to point to your total images collection or for testing purposes to a subsection? |

I got it working with these settings from the terminal (copy all and paste it in the terminal): Code:
docker run -d \ --name=pigallery2 \ -p 8282:80 \ -e NODE_ENV=production \ -v /home/pi/Docker/pigallery2/config:/app/data/config \ -v /home/pi/Docker/pigallery2/db:/app/data/db \ -v /home/pi/Docker/pigallery2/images:/app/data/images \ -v /home/pi/Docker/pigallery2/tmp:/app/data/tmp \ --restart=unless-stopped \ bpatrik/pigallery2:latest The test gallery should be placed in ./images You can also make a subdirectory ./images inside the ./sftp directory so that you can "upload" photo's from your desktop to your Pi and display them with pigallery2. |
