As to the weight, it's not really such a big deal as you make it out to be. I've had heavier readers than the Sage - the 7.8" Nook - and could hold it in one hand without issues too. Holding the Sage in one hand is by no means difficult.

We all get that in your opinion the Forma is the best reader ever released. But your constant repeating of it in practically every Kobo thread is getting a bit tiresome.
Ditto.

The Sage beats the One by a mile. Better form factor, better screen, better processor and so on. IMHO, of course.

You're out of touch if you believe the differences between the Sage/Forma/KA1 are as dramatic as you suggest. I believe it's driven more by consumer psychology than actual product improvement.

Not denying the Sage is better than the KA1, simply that the small difference wouldn't be meaningful for most users. We're enthusiasts here and these small differences become magnified in our minds, but e-readers don't change that much because e-ink doesn't change that much.

It's not like other tech. People still think an ereader released eight years ago is the best ever made.

I said IMHO. Yes, for me personally the differences are dramatic enough, and no "believe" or "consumer psychology" about it. YMMV, as always.

It can be misleading for anyone reading who might be trying to research a purchasing decision to assume your opinion reflects the average person. You are an outlier.

And there's most definitely a consumer psychology element to it. You've admitted as much more than once in the past.

There's no such creature as an average person. Everyone has different opinions about everything. And I guess anyone trying to make a purchasing decision based on other people's opinions is well aware of the fact that those other opinions may not reflect theirs.

Of course I post MY opinions about something, not what I think someone else thinks about something, or may think about something. As we are not mind readers, we can only post our own opinions.

Interesting how you only pick out those sharing an opinion who disagree with you about the product being discussed. Especially when there’s a much bigger outlier doing so just a few posts back.

Maybe consumer psychology you so enjoy prattling on about but never providing actual evidence of (as far as I’ve seen anyway) cuts both ways, that is people will defend their previous purchase despite never trying the new devices to justify that their prior purchase hasn’t lost value in light of changes made to the product line.

Oh, but really anyone who takes a single users very clearly stated opinion as someone saying it’s what the average person thinks is beyond this forums ability to help in terms of making a decision. So do please stop trying to play thought police on those who don’t post opinions you share. After all someone researching what ereader to buy should hear a wide range of opinions on those devices not a narrow band of a single opinion.

It is true that the Sage has a lot of more features. I do not deny that.

For me personally I mainly care about a good basic e-reader experience, so I have perhaps a different mind set than you have. That is totally fine.

I would be boring if everyone in the forum had the same views and opinions.

Heh. I admit I felt guilty after posting that, and I'm perfectly aware I tend to repeat myself as well.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Thought police? Hard to take any of your criticism seriously after that. And I've noticed this kind of weirdness from you before.

That’s rich coming from the guy who can’t provide evidence for his claims and who tells people not to share their opinions on a public forum.

The term fits you perfectly. Sorry that you’re incapable of seeing how telling someone that sharing their opinions about a product on a public forum for that product is a bad thing for people trying to research that product would be attempting to police peoples thoughts. I’d have thought it wasn’t all that complicated. Hopefully you can learn about individual opinions vs assertions of group opinions soon.

The bezel makes holding it for me so much easier! But I almost never read when sitting, if I can help it. I am lying on my side on the couch or the bed. For someone sitting and holding their device two handed, this might not be as big a thing as it was for me.
I never hold my reader unless I'm in a hammock I prefer reading in bed, while laying on my side (I tried reading on my back last month when I couldn't lay on my side after a surgery, didn't work ) But I have a distaste for non-symetric stuff...

No idea, haven't been to a non-food store in 2 years (the closest store that sells stuff like that is about 30km away and that's a long distance in the Netherlands )
