As I've already stated, your opinion on kobo's behavior matters not at all to me. A glance through my post history will show that I am no fan of Rakuten Kobo, despite being a fan of their devices. I AM a fan of civility and courtesy and value them at least as much as you apparently value saving 40-50 Australian dollars. Seeing someone else's attempts to provide you with a calm rational response dismissed rudely and contemptuously is what prompted my posts.

I might add, I'm totally disinterested in the oppositional opinion, it's not their back pocket nerve that gets hit, it's mine. And the apparent vehemence is rather striking.
What is striking is your bad manners and lack of understanding that we're not having a different opinion, we tried to give an explanation about the thing you were ranting about. And I think people have been reasonable and very respectful
in doing so, contrary to you.

back to the topic, I might receive my Sage today. I haven't bought the official cover, because it's cheaper in Australia than it is in Canada! Kobo is trying to rip us off!

If it's not the power cover, I'd say you made a wise decision. I've had 3 different Kobos, all with Shenzhen ebay/alibaba covers, no issues at all, and each cover less than half the price Kobo wanted for their (almost certainly Shenzhen-sourced) "official" cover.

And STILL no reviews, no videos, no anything on the Sage. It's like it doesn't exist. The new phantom reader!

The Sage has disappeared from Walmart’s website. The Libra 2 is available with 3 day shipping.

It's jinxed because of being the first Kobo in many years to have a name that does not end in "a"

I made 2 different calls with Kobo live chat. In the first, they said that Kobo Sage will not be sold in Turkey. In the second time, they said that they did not have any information on this subject. And there seems to be a stock issue with Sage in other countries as well. It looks like Kobo has just announced a reader that it hasn't produced yet. Stock issues aside (they'll probably fix it soon), what's the bullshit about it not being sold in Turkey? What kind of 'big brand' is this?

Not true, since at least some people here have received theirs. It does seem like they have not produced very many of them though

Give it time. It's just been released. And I guess there are mail forwarders in Turkey, so you could order it from another country? That's what I've done with several recent ereaders, which were not sold in or shipped to my country directly. And I probably have to use a forwarder for the Sage, too.

I'm worried: I just checked my command on the Fnac site, and on the one hand it still says delivery expected between 19 and 22 October, but just under there is a line which I think is new: "Commande en attente d'acceptation", which means the order is not yet validated. WHAT?
I fear it means Fnac has no idea when (if?) Kobo will deliver.

Does the sage appear on the kobo Turkey website? (in the section that shows devices)

No, it doesn't appear. Kobo Libra 2 appears. But Kobo Sage doesn't appear at all. The Kobo Sage page has never even been opened.
Check it out here, the official Kobo distributor page:

I guess this may mean that Kobo Sage will not be sold in Turkey.

I wonder if kobo's strategy is to release it a bit later on. Especially if there are supply problems.
