Thanks for explaining. I hadn't triggered that or hadn't noticed. It wouldn't be bad if it actual worked like it does with books but taking you to the articles list.

After seeing the database snippet, I wonder if this is something that maybe NickelMenu could deal with.

What else is a clock to do but display the time? Is having some order a bad thing? Back when I was reading with my T1, someone on MR modified the reading software to display a clock. I thought it was a good thing to have the clock and I still like the idea of a clock. It's very easy to lose yourself in a book and read for longer then you intended.

and an option to turn it off off everywhere else to make everyone happy. But until one or both of those exist, I guess I'm keeping miniclock and redundant clocks on some screens. |

Choice is always good where possible, but I'm thinking that some people must spend A LOT of time on their home screens rather than in an actual book if the presence of the clock is troublesome. Since it is not visible without user input when reading, the only place where seeing it is not by active user action is the home screen, which for me is not somewhere I linger.

![]() For me, Kobo has struck a near-perfect balance of accessibility and unobtrusiveness. That aside, I can more easily understand the concerns of those who want to see it constantly than those who want it gone completely, since its presence is so relatively fleeting. |

edit. when you have 950 pages of books and want to go to a specific page the scroll bar is (to put it kindly) insufficient/undesirable. best wishes koboy ![]() Last edited by koboy; 08-18-2020 at 07:54 AM. |

Huh, I like the scrollbar. It works well on my Forma. If the book should be about halfway through my list, just tap the scrollbar in the middle and instantly there. It would nice to always have the page x of y showing and the ability to type in page numbers too.
