It the spoilers that tick me off. Cameos don't bother me as much as adding a summary of the previous couple's book. You see the previous hero has a disability well that's a mini spoiler right there then the heroine goes on how she met him and the current heroine asked how he got this way. I closed the book because that is a major spoiler.
Now how hard would it have been for the author to write. "Dear Reader you first met this hero in my previous book. This is his story." I would have put the book down right there. Now I know authors who use to do that and I wish they still did. Sent from my XT1528 |

Yes, reader letters in the actual book are best. And well-organized author websites with comprehensive series/related books info. Sadly, those are few and far between.
You can't even always rely on FictionDB, Fantastic Fiction, Goodreads, and the like as they don't always have accurate or complete information either. |

Unspoken by Jen Frederick is free today on Amazon.
It's the second in the series. Book one was a previous freebie. Jen Frederick is Jane Litte's pen name if I remember right. https://www.amazon.com/Unspoken-The-.../dp/B00F75LEFS I have not read them yet. Sent from my Nexus 7 |

Weekly Report:
Read:
Starting my annual complete Psy/Changeling series reread this week. Mixing it up this year as I plan to reread in chronological rather than published order. This will be the first time I've done that, so it should be fun. Purchased: |

Has anyone logged in to their Harlequin My Rewards page lately? I've had no questions for points available to me for nearly two weeks.
Just wondering if they have not put up any questions, or if my page is just not loading correctly. |

I was able to do a Facebook thing on Sunday (spot the difference).
Usually new 100 point things go up on the website Monday or Tuesday and again Thursday or Friday. There was some stuff last week, but not so far this week for me either. |

I had 2 things on the bottom. HMR poll, which was just a question, and the other to rate the site. Today I have a couple of things on top again.
Actually it turns out its 3 x 100 today. The deal alert just clicks through to amazon and once the first one is clicked, a 2nd one appears to click. |

Annabel Laine (better known as Reay Tannahill) The Melancholy Virgin (Earl of Moriston Bk 2) is 99p on Amazon.co.uk as an Endeavour Press deal. Bk 1 was a recent Countdown deal.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Melancholy-...=annabel+laine The second book chronicling the mysteries of the dashing Earl of Moriston. Sometimes the truth is closer to home than we dare to imagine… ‘You’re not going to be best pleased. It’s a case of murder.’ With these words from a Bow Street Runner, that nonpareil of Regency London, Charles Edward Graham Dornay, fifth Earl of Moriston, finds himself entangled with the violent and mysterious death of a lady of easy virtue. The prime suspect? His own secretary, saturnine Francis Mervyn. I love these; it's a pity no more were ever written. |

When you go to a book, scroll all the way down. Past the author bio. Where it says "Harlequin Reader Reviews". And there I guess one makes a review. I'll find out soon, I just read one I got from the site with my points. ![]() eta: the 100 points posted in seconds after I did my review. Last edited by Atunah; 02-23-2017 at 05:24 PM. |
