Okay, since I read kepub, I had to activate the Set KePub hyphenation patch in libnickel. I didn't do that when I updated last night.

Now 'attorney' was hyphenated as 'at-torney' which isn't quite right, but it is better than no hyphenation at all.

at-torney is correct for US English and GB English.

I use the English hyphenation dictionary posted in the first post of this thread,

Though if you want to do some testing, try the TexMax version.

Hi, I installed the Spanish dictionary and it works really well, far better than the default.

Sometimes I notice that the hyphenation is used in some words when is really not needed and you get something like this

Is something I can change to prevent this? Also, since I installed the dictionary, it looks like the books take a longer time to open. Is this normal?

Also, KoboTouchExtended has some settings related to hyphenation. I have them as default. Should I change anything?

You should not be getting one letter on one side of the hyphen.You should be getting at least 2.

I know, but I am still getting them though it’s not very common. It’s a bit weird but I can live with it.

What annoys me most is that books now take longer time to open, and I get a blank screen for 2 or 3 seconds when I open one. I think that this didn’t happen before. Could be any issue with my device?

I'm still looking for a good italian dictionary. The ones I tried are separating words very rarely. On the other hand the italian hyphenation done by koreader is working very well. Is it possible to get the koreader dictionary and use it within the stock reader?

Just for the record, with the improved hyphenation from this thread I also (quite often) get single letters on one side of the hyphenation (German in my case).
