Thank you , I have the Kobo sleep cover but the magnet is far too weak to use when travelling. I've ordered red btw

So I just ordered mine from Ebay for 14$, the "CY Magnetic Ultra Slim Folding Cover Stand Leather Case For KOBO ARUA H2O 6.8" . Hoping there isn't really an ARUA model being sold somewhere in Asia
Gecko has a similar model, from what I can see it's based on the same plastic shell, but probably the faux leather and the craftsmanship are of better quality, and it costs 30$. However my Aura 6' cover, which I also got from Ebay, and which looks exactly like the one I have just ordered for the H2O (only smaller) is perfectly ok after some ten months of carrying in my backpack and it looks more expensive than it actually is.
EDIT
Actually now that I'm taking a better look at the pics, the material of which the Gecko is made looks identical to that of my Ebay "original"

I notice that in the extended description the Gecko Slimfit case claims to be waterproof. Have any of the cheaper ones made the same claim?

It also says it's available in 6 colours but I only see 3 currently listed. I wonder if it's a copy/paste typo or whether 3 more are on the way. The fire engine red one looks a bit bright but the black and blue options are a bit dull, so unless 3 more do turn up it's going to be red for me.

The closure tab ***. Also, it seems to have sharp edges/corners, just like the other slim-fit covers I've tried (in my case, for the Paperwhite 1).

I'd like to see a cover such as the Gecko Deluxe one, but with a folding flap on the left of the reader. I have such a cover for the Paperwhite, and the flap easily keeps the reader inside. It's actually a bit hard to undo the flap to get the reader out.

If I can find such a cover for the H2O, I might just try this reader, as I can pick it up in a local store in Germany, just across the border.

I found (and ordered) this case at Amazon.com. Looks just like the new listings on eBay that a previous poster found. I bought the Matte Purple; delivery is estimated 5-23 December (looks like they ship from China).

Probably the Ebay covers aren't waterproof cause of the metal tab on the sleeve. I doubt it's made of stainless steel, probably just plated. (Btw, no steel is completely stainless in salt water, as scuba divers come to realize)

It's subjective I suppose. I have the Gecko Slimfit for the Kobo Aura6". I actually like the magnetic closure tab better than those ebay versions which are magnet-only. There's less chance of something sliding between front cover and screen when it's in my bag.

FWIW I don't find the corners/edges sharp at all. Maybe it depends how you hold it .

I was thinking more about the inside of the front cover. On all my previous cases this has been a kind of fuzzy fabric material which doesn't look to be waterproof. I haven't dunked it to find out, though

I'm sure it will dry eventually, but might it shrink and distort the cover? I don't know the answer. And if there is thick card in the front cover might this get soggy if water penetrates the fabric.

Or it might swell and never return to it's original shape. That could be the selling point however, allowing ppl to show off in public they're the "real deal", lol. "If my ereader was constructed to be used underwater, that's what I'm going to bloody do with it!" Popular with survivalist and gun show goers
