Sounds good but 2 glaring grammar/usage errors in the blurb leave me torn as to what to expect from the actual book.

Dang. I'd never get a project like that done (and I've completely digitized our thousands of CDs and most of my Mom's...). I decided just having them in Calibre where I could find them was more than good enough.

I do miss Fictionwise though.

Diesel (and Eros) is still there, but with lots of redirects on pages that should go somewhere. Their homepage still runs a new sale book daily, but the link doesn't work and they often don't even sell the book featured. I've contacted them numerous times and got the impression they no longer have any programming staff that can fix it (or just drop the feature from the homepage, since it is broken and who knows where it is pulling books from to feature).

I get the impression the store in on automatic. They don't even sell the Divergent or Hunger Games series.

One interesting thing is that Amazon will not price match Diesel's prices.

Yes, it does seem they're just coasting along. As for missing popular books, that's been true since back when Agency started and they didn't get all their contracts totally worked out for whatever reason.

This is pretty typical for Amazon, they often only price match select retailers. Like for Blu-Ray & DVD they'll PM Target & Best Buy, but not places like Deep Discount, DVD Planet or the studio stores.

I am beginning to think I am obsessed with fiddling with my Calibre libraries.

But in all fairness my latest (hopefully not too huge) project is all the fault of Calibre Companion. They've added a feature to indicate if a book is read and date read. So... I have added customn columns to my main Calibre library and Calibre Vault.

After some internal debate I have decided to call the date column Date First Read. I do a lot of rereading, but didn't want to make a column for date last reread (or multiple columns - I'm not quite that crazy )

I've dug out my reading diaries which go back to 1989*. But of course most of the books I read back then were in print. But I'm going to go by date the book was first read regardless of format. I'm not sure how complete my records are so there may be plenty of guess work involved.

Eek! Wish me luck...


*ETA - oops not really. Apparently in 1991 I was more concerned about how much time I read as it only says things like started book. finished book. with no titles
