Most likely you have Reflow mode on. In Reflow Mode you cannot scribble.

It is not correct. The joystick is actually not really fixed by those pins to prevent it from moving sideways. The main fixation is by the rear cover. Those ribs on the rear cover are pressing on the joystick board and it is more than enough to fix solidly the part. You can rather break the cape, than move joystick from it place.

Very nice. It appeared to be a little bit small but that's probably because I want a 13.3 inch reader so much and in relation a 9.7 inch reader is still small.

Maybe I will find the time to create a little video to show the features. As far as I know there is none right now.

Btw: It works with 64 GByte SDXC cards (and probably even bigger ones if it is formatted in FAT32), too.

Yes, that was it, thanks booxtor!

So, the scribbling works, but not yet the merge. Could you tell us where the scribbles are stored (I couldn't find this using "find -mtype -1", which is strange)?

I would love 13inch reader too for sheet music. 13inch Onyx thread is very quiet... Anybody else in need of bigger size?

Sure, it would be great to have one (under 1000 Euro if possible) . The pocketbooks CAD reader is probably something that would interest you. Might be released as early as September.

Are you sure you changed your language to English? I just checked it and OTA works for me just fine. You can also change settings to German - update is the same but from other server (in Germany download will be faster in this case)

And again. (not to you but to other users) Please try to press home button for 2 sec. For me it was very important to be able to refresh screen without stylus. It works now!

Please try out Neo PDF Reader (containing in the update). It is still beta, so don't be very Critical

I am open for suggestions and tips. Everything is possible (if it is possible)

I have been testing several PDF readers available in Google Play ,including EZpdf reader, Moon+ Reader, Mantano Ebook Reader, etc. They all work on M96, but not as well as on other android tablets. For instance, scrolling animation is a bit annoying to see on M96. It sometimes leaves shadows on the screen. It is hard to manage settings in some apps probably because the original color is lost and everything is shown in grey. And the biggest problem is font size. Most pdf readers lack the function of emboldening fonts(which OnyxReader/NeoReader have), so it is sometimes difficult to read because letters are very thin Epub reader apps out there work well on M96, of course, but I'm not sure about pdf readers. I've found OnyxReader/NeoReader the most optimized, after all.

Could you recover in the next update of NeoReader the dictionary function of long press to show definition, which is available in OnyxReader? And it would be great if you could show in video how to use the Navigation function.

Hi

I've been looking for an android tablet with eink for ages but it looks like this is the closest thing that I can buy.

Right now I have an old dr1000s that serves me as a pure ereader but doesn't works to browse internet and read long blog entries o using feedly.

Will this device works for that? Using chrome to browse like any other android tablet, loading the feedly app, moon+reader or pocket, not just pdf's and epubs, I need a true browsing experience.

Unfortunately it seems that the PocketBook CAD Reader will only have built-in reader for CAD drawings (hence the name). And although it runs under Android 4.0.4, they don't mention Play Store access anywhere. Sideloading apps seems the only possible solution left. It looks like it's indeed designed for a niche market.

The same corporate i.e. non-retail strategy as Sony's.

Seems the market is stuck... Amazon bought the liquavista company some time ago and are not doing anything with it either. If you ask me this is major market failure. A good large reader/writer has the potential of literally replacing paper. I hope Onyx/Booxtor are able to, at least, improve the M96 to its full potential.

1) you seem to be using a different reader software. Mine shows a bar and a file name at the bottom.
2) Are you sure you are using the M96 and not the M92? Your eReader is white, while black is the only option available to buy at the moment.

I suggested a solution 2 pages ago and Booxtor did the same afterwards. Doesn't "bold" work for you?

The bars at the top and at the bottom of the screen can be removed in the menus of the reader

It is readable, however to truly savor it you need a column by column feature which is not yet there as far as I can see. Reading it in Landscape mode (rotate screen) and dragging the page with the stylus could also be an option.

I'm not sure the picture would be of any use to you since I had to compress it in order to attach it (file must be under 1.5 mb).
