ETA: I'm still waiting for Tangled if that makes you feel any better! :lol
All my good Kobo coupons were already used up by the time I discovered Lick

I feel only a little better because I'm waiting on Tangled also; I got it through Lendle but I want it for my keeper shelf.

I have not. I have heard the first is really slow, but book two is better. I got it with one of my DANL credits. I decided it would be better to get this one while it was a free offer than not and decide later I need it to finish off the series. And I have such a hard time finding books to get at DANL anyway.

I can't really explain except to say that he doesn't come as an angsty hero (though I like these for the most part) but a very sensitive soul who's had awful things done to him. My original plan was to get the books (the series is called Highland Pleasures) from the library (though I had to buy the 4.5 novella because it was self-published) but now it looks like these will be books I'll want to own. So more Kobo coupons to look out for
I have the Audible and ebook. So it's on my TBR list. I have heard Jane talk about it over and over on like every podcast so I know I will get to it eventually. That and Bitten

All About Romance did a review on the third book. Other than dealing with PTSD she said there wasn't anything she liked about it. I can get them through Overdrive if I ever want to read book two and three. I did not like book one.

Is that Kelley Armstrong's Bitten you're referring to? Love that one too! I've read the first 10 books in that series so I'm only a few books behind.

Yes that's the one. Jane is always mentioning those two book so I must read them. I keep them on my Clip so when the moment arrives and I'm ready I have them accessible.

Another one that Jane and Sarah are always mentioning is A Lady Awakened by Cecilia Grant but I just don't think it would be one I would enjoy. So I'm on the fence about that one.

Ah, another person who was hoping to get out of confession this week! As to the excuses *points at Apesmom*, she started it! LOL

Re: Kindle, no I don't have one, and because I'm in Canada can't do the Prime lending thing here. But thank you SO much for that incredibly kind offer. That's so sweet of you.
But I would like to know what you thought of it? I re-read the sample this weekend and I was very, very tempted to just buy it already!

I did, but I did really well!? I mean, that's an average price of $1.5ish per book, and look how many I took off my wishlist! My wishlist is under 80 again! Heck, I'm just really trying to justify it here, but I have such a strong feeling of guilt mixed with accomplishment!

I loved the book. It was a 5 star from me. One of the favorites books I read this year. Everything just worked for me.
As to the loaning, its not the prime thing. Its just the regular lending feature many books have. But I am not clear if I can loan to someone in Canada. . I might. Maybe someone that knows can clarify this one.
I hope it gets onto the stores you need it to be soon. I can't believe how long this seems to take.

If Blue can't get the loan of the book, if anyone else in this thread here wants the kindle loan of Tangled let me know.

Oh,fudge......I was pretty good, mostly because I am broke, relatively. Here goes:

Taming Wilde - Leah Sanders & Rachel Van Dyken - 1.59
Daddy's Choice - Doreen Owens Malek - 3.21
Onyx - Jennifer Armentrout - 3.49
Opal - Jennifer Armentrout - 3.99
Nicholas - Grace Burrowes - 3.49

Only 5 books, much better than usual.

So I guess you don't want to hear that I loved it. After seeing all the great reviews, I went ahead and paid the $3.99, and you know, I'm not sorry in the least. It was great. Yummy hero (he's into topless cuddling! ), and grounded, down-to-earth heroine who doesn't put up with any B.S.
