Does anyone know of a nice sleeve that would hold a reader while it is in the cover? Most are poorly made in that they require the cover to be removed to be used.

just my thoughts on the case discussion.
when i first got my t1 I bought the old style navitech cover which was not specifically made for the t1 and was quite a lot bigger than the reader. my wife has the new navitech cover which is ok and is a lot smaller.
my problem was that I find I often what a light. consequently I bought a cheap clip on light. this ran on the small hearing aid batteries and didn't clip onto reader but only onto navitech case. it ran out of battery quickly and the light was not great.
so back to the drawing board and after reading various comments on here I took the plunge and paid for the sony lighted cover. I was sceptical as I felt it was overpriced.

I have now had cover for a few weeks and love it. the light is great and the fact that it uses ordinary AAA batteries makes life easier. i have not had to change battery yet. the cover is small and fits neatly into my jacket pocket(whereas navitech didn't due to bulky clasp). it feels sturdy and I quite like the feel of it. i clip the stylus over the spine and it has not fallen out yet. I don't miss a clasp and as I said above find they just bulk up the case.
so all in all I think sony has done well with this case albeit it probably should have cost £20 rather than £39

Sony case - prsacl10

Hi

I just received an email from Best Buy (Canada), indicating a price drop on the lighted case to $34.99.

I did not ck to see if it was for all colours or just white. I picked up the black version several months ago and found it quite good.

Thanks latinandgreek, this one looks perfect for what I'm looking for.

edit: looked on manufacturers site and amazon and black version is not in stock, will definitely pick this up when it comes back in

Now it's got a case and it's lying around somewhere about(next to, under...etc.) the bed in the mornig and I'm not worried. But. Warning! This T1 is thin, the reading surface seems to be scratch resistent glass, but a misplaced elbow, at night, dreaming, might be enough to crack it!
That's me too! I like to hold the slim Sony when reading, and a pouch is good when traveling. The problem is falling asleep, and then the Sony is on the floor. So far no issues, as the drop is only a 18" but no sense in pushing the issue. Listening to all of the debate, and seeing the products discussed is great. Now I need to pull the trigger. I'm able to report back on the Timbuk2 sleeve that I purchased ahead of my reader. I am actually finding it to be nice. It's pretty slim and doesn't add a lot of bulk. It feels pretty substantial now that I have put the device inside. The inner fabric is soft, and I don't worry about scratches at all. It closes securely with three large Velcro closures, and I'm able to clip the stylus from the inside and the flap covers it, which seems to be very secure.

I think I am going to prefer using a case with my reader (always have cats jumping on my lap, making me fear that I will drop it one day), but if I didn't have concerns about that, this sleeve would make me very happy.

Even with the sleeve on the reader, I still think I'd hesitate to throw it into a backpack or something where it would get jostled or pressed on too hard. But I'm really treating it with kid gloves right now because I'm just so thrilled to have it and it's brand new. I use one of those mini messenger bags for my keys and cards and such, and it has a separate large pocket inside that is lightly padded. I have been fitting my T1 in the Timbuk2 sleeve into that large pocket for transport elsewhere if I have to carry a bunch of other crap.

Overall, the Timbuk2 sleeve looks very durable and very secure. And I love the color I chose. Price is right at $19 (on sale from $25).

At the url spartechnik.de I couldn't find an english version of thier assortment.
Ah, OK - comprehension dawns! Yes, I did find it on the UK Amazon site, so they must ship to the UK at least.

Here are some pics:

I can't see any pics here, but when I clicked on 'reply', some text referring to Dropbox appeared, so it looks like there's something there. Still no pics visible though - could someone explain how to make them visible, please?

The pics are fully visible to me. Maybe try a different browser? I'm using Chrome.

My problem is falling asleep and waking up to find my finger on the screen - and I'm dozens of pages away from the one I was reading!

I guess based on the lack of response that there is no such thing as a decent sleeve.

I do use a messenger bag to haul around my 650 when I take it outside.
