Crickets are nice Not many of them where I live unfortunately. Right now I'd probably be listening to the crows outside, but I can't hear them because of that Rammstein CD I put on. It's been a long time and I'm enjoying it.

The piano is beautiful in this piece. Gosh, how much I wish I had a sheet music for this.

That's very nice. I love piano so I had to look it up and see who it is. Do you have the rest of the album?

It's from the album 24 Postcards In Full Colour and you can buy and download a copy online. In case you are interested I can forward you the store web address in a PM, because I'm afraid that I'm not allowed to post it in the forum as someone might take it for advertising or something. It's a good store though, has a lot of rare and uncommercial music.

Thanks. I used V Cast Song ID to get the song and found the rest of the album on Amazon. I was wondering what you thought of the rest of the album. Sometimes one song will be amazing and the rest are just okay.

It's too soon for me to say. I haven't spent enough time listening to it yet. But I like its sound. It's varied, lots of ambient sounds, soundscapes combined with simple, minimalistic melodic parts, many of them played by piano, which I really like. Affluence of classical elements. Multilayered. All in all I like it. The rest is perhaps not as catchy as the track I picked out, but it's still great and atmospheric. Let your imagination be carried by the music.

I have another exceptional track for those who are interested: great synthesis of imagery and music in this one. Love the video, shot with excellent taste and the music is a relish too.

I definitely don't mind that. It's got a hint of Julia (Pavlov's Dog), or Crime of the Century (Supertramp) or Captain Jack (Betty Blockbuster/Reg Livermore)...that specific mid-70's work that I tend to like (and I'm reluctant to mention where some of this led me to, due to potential visceral reaction that might be provoked, but for me a branch of it inevitably leads to the unrestrained stylings and beautifully-mangled cliches of Jim Steinman's/Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell album, something I'm now about to listen to again).

But my question is, where do I get hold of Garfield's music, besides streaming on MySpace?

Cheers,
Marc

Listening to.... Office chatter (best Mustang, automatic vs manual...) and rain, oh and the wonderful sound of cars passing by honking at the occassional person walking in the rain dressed as if it's not cold outside.

Speaking of which, I've been listening to the "Across the Universe" soundtrack.

Sadly you can't (legitimately). The band produced 4 albums, none of which were ever re-released on CD. I have all four and I have bunged them down myself to WAV files, but there's nithing commercial except for used LP's.
