If you like Simon Vance, and want a great series to start listening to, try Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series. First book is Master and Commander and the WhisperSync Audible version is $3.99.

I've been seeing books listed as Whispersync for Voice at Audible, but then when I go to Amazon to look for the Kindle version, it's not listed as a Whispersync title. Or there's no Kindle version at all! Example: Megan Abbott's forthcoming title, The Fever shows as a Whispersync title at Audible, but there's no Kindle version at Amazon.

That is a Hachette pre-order title so I'd guess that has something to do with the missing Kindle version.

Just in my experience, Audible takes credits on a first earned, first used basis. They don't pay any attention to the expiration date, other than in removing them from your account.

Amazon, OTOH, optimized their credits and promotions long ago and _usually_ takes them out on a nearest expiration date basis (and ignores when they were earned).

I keep track of the expiration dates of my credits. I make sure I spend at least the amount about to expire if I'm not prepared to spend the total amount in my account.

But of late, I've had Amazon credits of all types: Amazon Coins, Amazon Appstore, Amazon MP3, Video Games, and Audible Coupons. It's a nightmare to keep track of them. It's easy to spend the Audible and MP3 credits, but not so for the apps. Between coins and cash credits, I have $60 to spend in the appstore and am having a hard time doing so.
